Echoes Of The Past: A Call To Unity.

Have not been here for long, but have been around for a while, and Of a truth, I personally can say that I have seen life unfold in various patterns, there are things we swore never to give room for again, but they still return into our midst in some other way, maybe different, but still bringing along with them the same old pain... if not much more.

I remember how I heard a lot about the price of fuel and it's scarcity back then, those times people literally sleep over in filling stations, yiu have to get firewood or charcoal to cook, no light to read or do ones assignment, you have to get a torch light, I just laugh it off then, but here I am, an adult already, am also queuing st the filling stations, car parked, jerrican in hand while calculating expenses as if I am an accountant while also praying that the power supply company would just stabilize electricity... it's no more a memory, it is now my reality.

Also, there was a time when rulers ruled the way they want, they make us go hungry and do the economy anyhow, they make fske promises during elections and all, and when they finally occupy the post, they turn into monsters, more like they forgot where they came from as well, I even thought all of these will change since we are now in the democratic era, but no, the youth are also rising, thinking they would make good use of the Internet and all, but still, nothings changed.

We still beg politicians to do things for us, roads, hospitals, our schools, go out to visit and you will see how messed up sll of these things are, I no longer believe we are the giant of Africa, and sincerely, I thought we had learned but here's history repeating itself. Our systems are failing, the economy is failing, we are barely holding on, the security is something else and corruption is there sitted on the high table like always.

I also fear the Biafra war might repeat itself, we seems ro have forgotten what happened back then, we've forgotten the loud cries and wailings, we've forgotten it all, I fear that nightmare might also repeat itself with far greater havoc.

We should hear each other out, love each other and unite together, we should do away with tribalism, we are all human, we all think, we have blood running through our veins, we hustle together, we do stuffs together... there's the need for us to shift our focus, to be more accountable and united.

We must also teach our children the truth, we shouldn't vote for our stomachs, humanity should be above all else.....and sincerely, we really need to address and fix what transpired and broke us yesterday, else we will recycle and repeat what happened again as history is knocking.
