Greetings to the friends who join the #CinnamonCupCoffee community.
I'm always saying and pointing out the positive side of coffee I enjoy, and sharing it with friends and family is something extremely special to me, as it's accompanied by good conversation and lots of affection.

But today isn't about that. I'll talk about coffee from another perspective, no less important to me: coffee at home.

The kind I make in the morning or afternoon, accompanies me in the early hours before I go out and face life, or late in the afternoon as the culmination of my day.

The kind I like with little sugar, a natural, steaming red, to savor sip by sip.

I have different containers or cups for that coffee. You might think it's a habit because I'm getting older, but I don't agree.

Although I rarely get the flavor wrong, each of those vessels has its own story that shapes my mind and improves my emotional state.

The pitcher I'm showing you today and the coffee sachets were gifts from a friend I love very much. She's a professional musician, an excellent singer-songwriter who works for the Actuar agency. You can hear her singing in hotels in Cuba's most important tourist area, Varadero, the best sun and beach destination.

Her name is Isabela Abreu. If you ever visit these parts, don't hesitate to ask for her and enjoy her art.

Drinking coffee alone, in the silence and stillness of my home, in my kitchen, is almost a sacred ritual for me.

When I go on a trip, it's what I miss most, and when I return, it's the first thing I do, after shaking off the dust from the road.

Coffee focuses me on that essential conversation I have with myself, that I need to have with my inner self.

When I drink it, I feel at peace.
