Buenas noches hivers de esta. comunidad. No soy una artista de la fotografía,ni pienso siquiera, que sepa capturar buenas tomas.

Está propuesta de @black & white me brinda la posibilidad de satisfacer mi gusto, por eso hoy estoy frente a ustedes mostrando mi incursión.
Quiero ser oportunista y mostrar una construcción que es, a modo de apreciación personal, una joya de la arquitectura moderna en Cuba, y la más hermosa de toda mi ciudad, Florida.

Es una construcción de principio de la década de los años cincuenta, fue construida para que radicara en ella el renombrado "Casino Español".

De más está decirles que en él no se permitía la entrada ni a negros ni mestizos,solo la élite blanca de la sociedad de Florida podía disfrutar del espacio.
Fue una mujer la autora de tan relevante obra, la arquitecta Elena Ramos Ledón,que también tuvo a su cargo el proyecto de importantes inmuebles de la ciudad de Camagüey, debo resaltar que aún siendo una prestigiosa profesional, prefirió residir en Florida.
La edificación posee tres niveles que se aprecian en la foto y cuenta con amplios y hermosos salones así como los pisos de altísima calidad, creo son sus inmensos portalones semicirculares lo que más la destaca ya que, para asombro de todos, a pesar de sus dimensiones están fundidos sin columnas como soportes.

Señalo que está obra, ubicada en Paseos Martí # 107 esq. a Calixto García se encuentra a sólo 150 metros de la estación de ferrocarril y ni el paso del tiempo ni las vibraciones de los trenes, hacen que exhiba una grieta en techos ni paredes, a pesar de estar hecha de hormigón armado.

En la actualidad, allí radica la Casa de la Cultura "Luis Casas Romero", con unos relevantes resultados a todos los niveles del Sistema Nacional de Casas de Cultura, por las diferentes manifestaciones del arte.
Cada vez que tengo la oportunidad,sin chovinismo,digo henchida de orgullo, que es el inmueble, con esa función, más hermoso de Cuba.

Good evening, hivers of this community. I'm not a photography artist, nor do I even think I know how to capture good shots.

This proposal by @black & white gives me the opportunity to indulge my taste, which is why I'm here before you today showing you my foray.
I want to be opportunistic and show a building that is, in my personal opinion, a jewel of modern architecture in Cuba, and the most beautiful in my entire city, Florida.

It's a building from the early 1950s, built to house the renowned "Casino Español."

Needless to say, neither Black nor mixed-race people were allowed inside; only the white elite of Florida society could enjoy the space.
The author of such a significant work was a woman, architect Elena Ramos Ledón, who also worked on important buildings in the city of Camagüey. I must emphasize that, despite being a prestigious professional, she chose to reside in Florida.
The building has three levels, as seen in the photo, and features spacious and beautiful halls, as well as high-quality floors. I believe its immense semicircular doorways are what most distinguish it, since, to everyone's amazement, despite their size, they are cast without supporting columns.

I note that this work, located at Paseos Martí # 107 and Calixto García, is only 150 meters from the train station, and neither the passage of time nor the vibrations of trains have caused it to show a single crack in the ceiling or walls, despite being made of reinforced concrete.

Today, the "Luis Casas Romero" Cultural Center is located there, with significant results at all levels of the National System of Cultural Centers, thanks to its diverse artistic expressions.
Every time I have the opportunity, without chauvinism, I proudly say that it is the most beautiful building in Cuba, serving that purpose.
