Greetings to the ladies of my beloved community. Today I arrive with the intention of participating by answering this week's second question.

2-Of all the species in the animal kingdom, if you could be one of them, which would you choose? Which one do you identify with most and why?

🌺. 🌺. 🌺. 🌺. 🌺

I'll tell you, my #ladiesofhive, that without the slightest hesitation, I would choose to be a hummingbird.

But not just any hummingbird. I would ask to be the Cuban Zunzun, tiny, so tiny that it's the smallest bird in the world.

So what? That makes it unique! That's how I'd like to be remembered, a rare specimen, one that stands out among all, and not out of vanity.

I want people to recognize me, not for the bright and beautiful colors they possess, but for the positive lessons they can offer in my life.

What I said before about the hummingbird being unmatched by any other bird is not the quality that captivates me about the hummingbird.

I adore its way of flying, free and steady, as the most universal of all Cubans, our José Martí, once said: "The elemental truths fit into the soul of a hummingbird."

Although it is said that three of them survived in captivity, this is not common. They love their freedom so much that if they are locked up, they die.

This is where I fully identify with them. For me, my freedom of thought and action are non-negotiable under any circumstances.

The photos I show you in this post don't have the quality I would like, but, in addition to the cloudiness existing at the time of the photos, these creatures sip nectar from flowers in flight, and when they finally land, they remain in that spot for a few seconds.

In my backyard, next to my neighbor's house, there's a flowering Ponasi bush, and there they've found a safe haven.

I had to remain still for a long time with the lens ready to take these photographs.

Another example of their independence of thought and action.

Therefore, my friends, if God gives me the opportunity to return in another life, have no doubt that I will, hummingbird.

Un saludo para las damas de mi amada comunidad,hoy llego con la intención de participar dando respuesta a la segunda interrogante de esta semana.

2-De todas las especies del reino animal,si pudieras ser una de ellos¿Cuál elegiría?¿Con cuál te identificas y por qué?

Les diré mis #ladiesofhive que sin el más mínimo titubeo, elegiría ser un colibrí.

Pero no cualquiera, pediría ser el Zunzun cubano,diminuto, tanto que es el ave más pequeña del mundo.

¿Y qué?¡Si eso la hace única! Así me gustaría que me recordarán ,un ejemplar raro,que se distinga entre todos y no por vanidad.

Quiero que me distingan las personas, no por los colores brillantes y hermosos que posee si no por las enseñanzas positivas que pueda brindar a mi paso por la vida.

Lo que antes dije sobre que no se compara con ninguna otra ave, no es la cualidad que me subyuga del Zunzún.

Adoro su manera de volar,libre y constante, como dijera el más universal de todos los cubanos que fue nuestro José Martí: "Las verdades elementales caben en el alma de un colibrí".

Aunque se dice que tres de ellos sobrevivieron en cautiverio,no es lo común,ellas aman tanto su libertad que si se les encierra, mueren.

Es ahí donde me identifico plenamente con ellas, para mí, mi libertad de pensamiento y acción no son negociables bajo ningún concepto.

Las fotos que les muestro en este post, no poseen la calidad que quisiera, pero, además de los nublados existentes a la hora de las fotos, esas criaturas liban el néctar de las flores en vuelo.y cuando al fin se posan, permanecen por breves segundos en ese sitio.

En el patio trasero de mi casa, en los linderos de mi vecina tiene un arbusto de Ponasí florecido y allí ellos, han encontrado un refugio seguro.

Tuve que permanecer quieta, por largo rato y con el lente listo para lograr esas fotografías.

Una muestra más de su independencia de pensamiento y acción.

Por eso amigas mías, si Dios me diera la oportunidad de regresar en otra vida no tengan dudas de que regresaré colibrí.
