LA GRATITUD: UNA VIRTUD CONTRADICTORIA/ Iniciativa #1 (Eng_ Esp)

Warm greetings to all the friends who pass through the halls of the #holoslotus community.

It's a pleasure to respond to @abelarte's suggestion that we talk about gratitude.

I want to express, from my personal perspective, the importance I place on being and feeling grateful.

Sometimes we go through life complaining about everything and everyone, without realizing how fortunate we are. Every day brings the miracle of being alive; that is my first act of gratitude.

There are plenty of reasons. As imperfect beings, we analyze our lives from a place of lack, whether material or spiritual, and not from what we have.

I am grateful for my humble origins, in a home with parents who raised us based on kindness toward our fellow human beings, respect, and honesty.

My greatest gift, for which I will be grateful for the rest of my days, is having had the opportunity and privilege of being a mother.

I've battled incredibly hard with life's ups and downs, but I'm grateful for even that. I realize how strong I am, and I can resolve to keep going.

There's no setback we can't overcome if we set our minds to it with a strong will. Sometimes the path isn't what we thought it would be, but there's another one to follow.

I tell some people that I don't regret my disability, that it's just the way it should be. Some look at me expectantly, wondering why, and others do so in disbelief, thinking I'm lying.

The answer is simple: when I understood that we have missions and purposes, and in one way or another, each of us has our share of adversity, as in my case, irreversible. We must accept it and live with it without letting it affect us.

To the extent that I achieve personal growth, by thinking about projects from and for disabilities, I involve other people with similar situations in overcoming their fears and insecurities, and that's enormous.

Being raised in a loving home and creating my own with the same principles is reason enough to be grateful. However, life keeps giving me good things.

Achieving my dreams in literature, even in the final stages, is unique because not everyone can dedicate themselves to what they love with body and soul. I always recognize where and with whom I took my first steps and all those who have held my hand along the way.

Having a comfortable place where everything is where I want it, and I enjoy my conversations with myself and my literary characters.

With the smiles of children, the hugs of my friends, and the love of my family, I don't think I deserve so much; life has been very generous.

I won't expand on the other side of gratitude; I have my own concepts; it would be the gratitude expressed to us by those we have supported and helped in their time.

Speaking about that gratitude we receive when we do something for another should be selfless and with sincere kindness, without expecting anything in return.

If an altruistic act isn't reciprocated in kind, it shouldn't matter or hurt if it's from the heart.

And I clarify, it's not about closing our eyes to avoid acknowledging that someone behaved badly; it's simply about not hurting. If it hurts, it wasn't a completely selfless act. We may even do it unconsciously, but we expected gratitude, even if it was moral.

I'm human and I've been surprised, affected by the negative actions of people I believed in, but I've learned to let go. If you act in good faith, destiny will reward you.

As my mother and her popular saying used to say:

"Do good without looking at who it is." It doesn't matter if they appreciate it, because being at peace with you is priceless.

Quiero referirme desde mi punto de vista personal, la importancia que concedo a ser y sentirme agradecida.

A veces andamos por la vida quejándonos de todo y de todos, sin pensar que somos afortunados, cada día se da el milagro de estar vivos, esa es mi primera acción de gratitud.

Motivos sobran, como seres imperfectos , analizamos
nuestra vida desde la carencia, material o espiritual y no desde lo que tenemos.

Agradezco mis orígenes humildes, en un hogar con padres que nos criaron basados en la bondad hacia nuestros semejantes, el respeto y la honradez.

Mi mayor regalo, por el que daré gratitud el resto de mis días es haber tenido la oportunidad y el privilegio de ser madre.

He guerreado durísimo con los avatares de la vida, pero hasta eso lo agradezco,me doy cuenta de lo fuerte que soy y puedo proponerme, para seguir adelante.

No existe contratiempo que no podamos superar si nos lo proponemos con férrea voluntad, en ocasiones no es como pensamos cuál sería el camino ,pero allí hay otro para andar.

Le digo a algunas personas que no lamento mi discapacidad, que así debía ser, unos me miran expectantes de mis razones y otros lo hacen con incredulidad pensando que miento.

La respuesta es sencilla, cuando entendí que tenemos misiones y propósitos y de una forma y otra cada cuál tiene su cuota de adversidad, como en mi caso, irreversible, hay que aceptar y convivir sin que eso afecte.

En la medida que logro mi superación personal, pensando en proyectos desde y para la discapacidad involucro a otras personas con situaciones similares a superar sus miedos e inseguridades y eso es gigantesco.

Formarme en un hogar amoroso y con los mismos preceptos crear el mío, es motivo suficiente para estar agradecida, sin embargo, la vida no para de darme cosas buenas.

Lograr mis sueños en la literatura,aún en las postrimerías, es exclusivo pues no todos pueden dedicarse a lo que les gusta en cuerpo y alma, reconociendo siempre dónde y con quiénes di mis primeros pasos y a todos los que han sostenido mi mano por el camino.

Contar con un lugar confortable donde todo está en el sitio que quiero, y disfruto mis diálogos conmigo y mis personajes literarios.

Con la sonrisa de los niños, el abrazo de mis amigos y el amor de mi familia, no creo merecer tanto; la vida ha sido muy generosa.

De la otra cara de la gratitud no voy a ampliar, tengo mis propios conceptos; sería la gratitud que nos profesan los que hemos apoyado y ayudado en su momento.

Hablar de esa gratitud de cuando hacemos algo por otro, debe ser desprendida y con bondad sincera, sin esperar nada a cambio.

Si una acción altruista no es retribuida de la misma manera, no debe
importar ni doler si es de corazón.

Y aclaro no es cerrar los ojos para no reconocer que alguien se portó mal, es sencillamente que no duela, si duele no fue un acto totalmente desinteresado, puede que lo hagamos hasta inconsciente, pero esperábamos agradecimiento aunque fuese moral.

Soy humana y me he sorprendido, afectada por acciones negativas de personas en quien creí, pero aprendí a soltar, si actúas de buena fé el destino te recompensa.

Cómo decía mi madre y su refranero popular:

" Haz el bien sin mirar a quién", no importa si lo agradecen pues estar en paz contigo no tiene precio.
