Juanito's Bed || Ask him how
Hey, animal lovers!
I hope you, your animal companions, and all good creatures on earth had a nice weekend.
Besdides wishing you a great week ahead, I've come to tell you some things about Juanito and how he got--earned, won--a bed in our house.

You'd agree that the way Juanito has a look you can't ignore, haha.

He's a doll. Not only is he really cute, but he's tame almost to the extreme. He never responds aggressively to attacks from other cats.

He never takes out his claws even if he doesn't want to take his medicine or have his paws washed. He is that kind of jellicle cat who purrs and coo instead of meowing--not something cute at 2 a.m., but you just can't get mad at Juanito (unless you're my eldest cat, Flecha, her majesty 🐱👑).

Probably, also for the sake of this post,
the first thing you should know about Juanito
.
.
is that he takes a shameless pleasure in sleeping...
.
.
...Just as much as he takes it in eating or in being as close to me as it's physically possible for him.
.
.
That's how it started...
Soon I found out I needed to find him a cozy place to rest that allowed him to be close to me during my teleworking hours. Otherwise, it was big trouble for us, as he would never stop cooing. (Really, Flecha can't stand it 😒)
So Juanito needed "a bed."
A blanket folded over a folding chair, a sheet of my kittens on one of their woven trays, a pile of sheets on a hammock, a space claimed and proclaimed as his own between my feet... (Something Canela, my calico, was not loving...), a bed he borrowed from Horacia without her knowing anything about it 😏
He tried a good variety of beds in this new home, even though the place was small and, literally, wouldn't offer room for many possibilities.
I moved house in November of last year.
And although I’m enjoying the fruits of that half-forced decision, it was a difficult time indeed. That's when Juanito came into my life. This lovely 4-year-old domino used to be my landlady's daughter's cat, but a little later moved to her neighbor's house for unknown reasons—perhaps he felt more comfortable there since there were no dogs at this neighbor's house; who knows—. He came back to the back part of the house where the apartments are, and so it seems to me now that I was the last to realize that he was living with us already.

I moved in with my three furry companions: Flecha, Horacia and Canela. They’re my three cats, faithful life companions. Finding a place to rent where they’d accept me with my “pets” was a real challenge, but that's another story. Once we were installed, they had a hard time adjusting. So did I. We stayed strong. No gardens here, a different song from the wind, invasive white noise, and sunlight? Only indirect. Big change. At some point, after three months or so, my cats began to adapt and become livelier; they were no longer trying to escape to their old home; instead, they were looking around our new place, exploring, sniffing. Now that they seemed to be OK, it was my turn to feel anxious, and, oh, I did! That's when Juanito came in.
They say that some cats come into your life just when you need them.
Do you have anything to say about that?
I would've named it “Colmillitos” (Little Fangs) or “Nosfie” for Nosferatu 😆
Since my cats were so busy doing recon,
well, Juanito was able to get his way.
He got himslef comfortable on all the beds, including Canela's spot on top of the fridge...
And Flecha's special spot on the window sill...
He was totally goldielocking 😏

And that's what I wanted to tell you about Juanito's getting himself a bed in our house.
Now, before I go, can you guess which bed is his favorite?
If you guessed my lap, you guessed right.
Even if I'm sewing. He doesn't mind; he likes to cuddle. And my cats, they tolerate him well enough, although the cooing is non-negotiable, haha. The poor guy gets told to shut up. And he, well, obeys like the good jellicle cat he is.

Hello beautiful human and feline! I am smitten by the charm and extreme good looks of this personality. He totally knows he is a super star.
I have been bothering Marc about having a cat again. He just jokes around and says he doesn't want a demon in the apartment. We had cats together for 15 years.
If it's true that cats come into your life when you need them then I should be finding one on my lap soon.
Nice to see this entertaining post.💚
Hey, my dear and gorgeous friend! I'm so happy you stopped by 😽
Juanito has been introduced to the Blockchain, haha. He's adorable. I think he was about to say a word like ten minutes ago; he's really funny when he does that. I'm sure he's asking for the sardines in the fridge. It's cat's logic: sardines this morning = sardines forever!
I think Marc could change his mind if that cat suddenly appears on your lap 🤭
Stay strong, healthy and happy, both of you... Big hug ❤️
Haha I'll get the sardines ready just in case.
