Week 12 dream garden, or a little bit more to the dream
This is a question that stirs the imagination.
We have a lot planned for our garden. We have done some things but there is always something to add.
My son is walking his hammock, now we have it placed near his tree house. It is light so I can hang it on smaller trees without any problems.
A few years ago I built a fountain in the front yard in the front garden
It was a small project where I played with an old granite cube from the macadam. When the road workers were renovating the road
they thought that cube was in the way so they gave it to me
It was just in the way for them
And I put it to good use
I made the background with stone and left space for a flower pot
And in the fountain itself I installed an old jar
to drain the water.
@themyscira With her great idea for a garden shower
She reminded me that I wanted to do that too
I have the inside of an old water heater that I need to paint black, so that the sun can heat the water more easily
By the way, that water heater tank is gray, since it is galvanized
For the water supply, I planned to bring it from the tap with a hose
and I need to hang that tank somewhere convenient.
At approximately two to two and a half meters high so that the water flows through the shower with a natural fall.
If I manage to do that, I will inform you.
What I'm planning in the garden is another fountain
It's necessary because I'm attaching the hose to this existing fountain that's in the front
And in the middle of the garden the pressure is weak
It's spring water that I pull from about 19 meters deep
I use a motor pump for that, which works well but the length of the hose over 70 meters takes its toll so the pressure drops.
So I would add another fountain at the beginning of the garden
I was planning to make it again , But a friend of mine outpouring concrete fountains in a mold
Various shapes, patterns and colors.
I also have a summerhouse-veranda in my plans.
I don't know how to translate this into English, even the translator doesn't help me.
But I'll describe it to you.
I'm planning it at the end of the garden in the orchard.
Those are four pillars as a base and on them a roof in the shape of a pyramid or a cone.
That's the basic version, now a lot can be added to it, maybe some part protected from the wind.
Of course the material would be wood and I would place the pillars in metal anchors and concrete them.
And for the choice of roof I might take reed.
A very good natural insulator, and in our country there are also companies that produce reed for fences, insulation for houses and terraces.
Of course we plan to have a greenhouse
At least a small one
Maybe we can do it somewhere in a corner of the yard
It's great because you can always grow something even in winter
Solar collectors could be used for heating
you can see an example of solar collectors Here. There are no solar cells or panels.
It would be good if everything was in glass
I don't like nylon, and of course because of the winter conditions.
The garden always gives an idea for something new

Until the next time, stay healthy

Oh your garden sounds lovely. Sounds like you have lots of access to water which is great. An outdoor shower is a fantastic addition. I wonder if you are talking about a gazebo?

Even though we have a water supply in the village, I didn't want to bring it into the house because it's smelly and faulty.
Instead, I have my own drilled well with a pipe lowered to a depth of about 20 meters and the motor and pump draw water from that depth.
Although I know that it is not one hundred percent bacteriologically correct, at least it does not smell and does not contain chlorine
And most importantly, it is pleasant to plants.
I think gazebo would be the right word for what I am planning
I thought about putting a hammock in my garden.😅
The best part is that we happen to fall asleep in it :)
