Tuve un día con un clima muy cambiante, un cielo nublado y luego un intenso sol, de esos días que no sabes cómo vas a usar el paraguas, salgo al frente de mi casa y me encuentro con esta hermosa visita, no llegó a mí jardín, ahí me encanta ahí siempre me gusta recibir bichos, mariposas y otros insectos, ella llegó directo a mi porche y tuvo la astucia de entrar a la casa, una hermosa, estoy hablando de una fascinante y enigmática Mariposa búho del género Caligo.

Mariposa Búho o la caligo es una mariposa reina de selvas y bosques, sus alas tienen manchas que parecen ojos de búho, que le sirven como defensa para auyentar depredadores como aves, lagartijas y moscas, cuando se siente atacada abre sus alas asustando a sus enemigos, lo comprobé intente acercarme más y ella abría sus alas, aunque no intentó escapar, asombrosa y perfecta naturaleza donde todo tiene su equilibrio, ellas como todos los animales cumplen una función única en el ecosistema, combinando estrategia, belleza y evolución, su vida merece respeto.
