Parapente, volar entre nubes
La imagen de la semana nos muestra a una persona practicando parapente sobre el mar, mientras un grupo de personas mira con asombro y admiración el espectáculo, para otros se les hace tan común que ni siquiera se paran a observar, seguramente la fotografía fue tomada desde el mismo Cerro el Morro en Lecheria, estado Anzoátegui, lugar icono y turísticos para hacer parapente en Venezuela por su enorme belleza con vista al Mar Caribe.

Paragliding, flying among the clouds This week's image shows a person paragliding over the sea, while a group of people watch the spectacle with amazement and admiration. For others, it's so commonplace that they don't even stop to observe. The photograph was surely taken from Cerro el Morro in Lecheria, Anzoátegui state, an iconic and popular tourist destination for paragliding in Venezuela due to its stunning beauty overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

El parapente es un deporte extremo de emociones intensas y full adrenalina, recreativo, competitivo y de aventura, que puede ser practicado por niños, jóvenes y adultos, donde los aventureros se lanzan desde una pendiente o montaña alta hacia al vacío, teniendo al viento como su aliado para ir descendiendo de manera moderada y sin prisa que sin dudas les permitirá disfrutar de impresionantes vistas panorámicas de todo el paisaje, hasta aterrizar de pie en tierra firme o en las aguas de nuestras hermosas playas .

Paragliding is an extreme sport full of intense emotions and adrenaline, recreational, competitive and adventurous, which can be practiced by children, young people and adults, where adventurers launch themselves from a slope or high mountain into the void, having the wind as their ally to descend moderately and without haste that will undoubtedly allow them to enjoy impressive panoramic views of the entire landscape, until landing on solid ground or in the waters of our beautiful beaches.

Creo que yo nunca me lanzaría al vacío ni con Parapente ni de un paracaídas al menos que sea necesario y eso si con los ojos bien cerrados, no desafío a la gravedad, solo verlo me lleno de excusas, suposiciones, duda y vértigos no creo llegue algún día a intentarlo, sin embargo respeto y admiro a quienes se atreven a vivir esta experiencia, debe ser algo emocionante y maravilloso porque las personas que lo practican se ven felices, cómodos y relajados, me quito el sombrero ante ellos y me quedo con la dudas de saber lo que se siente.

I don't think I would ever jump into the void, neither with a paraglider nor a parachute, unless absolutely necessary, and even then with my eyes tightly closed. I don't defy gravity; just the thought fills me with excuses, assumptions, doubt, and vertigo. I don't think I'll ever try it. However, I respect and admire those who dare to live this experience. It must be something exciting and wonderful because the people who do it look happy, comfortable, and relaxed. I take my hat off to them and am left wondering what it feels like. Always grateful.
