El Machete y el garabato son instrumento o herramientas agricola básicas para cualquier agricultor, campesino o amante de la naturaleza, que siempre llevan con con orgullo, pareciera que forma parte de su vestidura y presentación personal, lo utiliza para cortar maleza, ramas, matorrales, troncos, hierbas, como decimos en el campo pa' esmatonar potreros y facilitar las actividades diarias como pastoreo, limpiar cabeceras de lagunas o para siembras pequeñas cuando no se cuenta con maquinaria para el arado.
