La amiga @marpasifico, nos trae una interesante propuesta en su iniciativa #3 denominada ¿ Qué tienes para contar?

Ayer en la tarde me senté a observar mis plantas, por alguna razón llamó mi atención la Vicaria Catharanthus una especie proveniente de Madagascar, en mi país comúnmente llamada Putica, es una planta sencilla, fácil de cultivar y que se da en cualquier tipo de suelo, ambiente y clima, por esa facilidad de multiplicar se se le dió el nombre de putica en Venezuela, no se si en otro país también .
Así que dije por que no contarles y comprarles a la comunidad verde de esta belleza tropical, son plantas sencillas, bonitas, resilientes, generosas, se dice que también son medicinales dependiendo en color de la floración, no lo se, no lo he utilizado para esos fines ni tampoco lo recomiendo.

Yesterday afternoon I sat down to observe my plants, and for some reason, the Vicaria catharanthus caught my eye. It's a species native to Madagascar, commonly called "Putica" in my country. It's a simple plant, easy to grow, and thrives in any type of soil, environment, and climate. Because it's so easy to propagate, it's called "putica" in Venezuela; I don't know if it's the same in other countries. So I thought, why not share this tropical beauty with the green community and buy some? They're simple, beautiful, resilient, and generous plants. It's said they also have medicinal properties, depending on the flower color. I don't know; I haven't used them for that purpose, nor do I recommend it.

Una vez leí que florecen en primavera pero desde que las tengo en casa jamas han permanecido sin flores, mi jardín es una primavera permanente, a mi nieta le encanta jugar cerca de ellas, le llama la atención tantas flores juntas y el revoleteo que forman cuando los vientos se hacen intenso, yo tengo que estar pendiente que las flores que arranque no se las lleve a la boca.

I once read that they bloom in spring, but since I've had them at home they've never been without flowers; my garden is a permanent spring. My granddaughter loves to play near them; she's fascinated by so many flowers together and the fluttering they make when the winds get strong. I have to be careful that she doesn't put the flowers she picks in her mouth.

Qué más les podía contar bueno que existen en diferente colores, blancas, rojo, fucsia, lila, amarillas(no las he visto solo en fotografía) y matizadas rosadas con el centro rojo y blancas con rojo entre otras combinaciones, les puedo contar que que a mi me tienen enamorada no dejo de mirarlas, admirarlas y de agradecer su presencia en mi jardín, adornan la vista de mi casa y alegran a los vecinos, muchos se detienen a observarlo y me piden semillas, ellas se reproducen por semilla, por ramas y también por las flores a mi me nacen en cualquier parte hasta se cuelan por el cemento, son muy generosas para tenerlas en casa yo las amo, tengo dos colores más recién sembradas que no han floreado, es que cuando voy a una casa y veo de un color que no tengo, enseguida busco la manera de obtener una semilla para mi provecho.

What else can I tell you? Well, they come in different colors: white, red, fuchsia, lilac, yellow (I've only seen them in photographs), and variegated pinks with red centers and whites with red, among other combinations. I can tell you that I'm completely in love with them. I can't stop looking at them, admiring them, and being grateful for their presence in my garden. They beautify the view of my house and brighten up the neighbors. Many stop to look at them and ask me for seeds. They reproduce by seed, by cuttings, and also by flowers. Mine sprout everywhere, even through the cement. They're so generous to have at home; I love them. I have two more colors that I recently planted but haven't flowered yet. Whenever I go to someone's house and see a color I don't have, I immediately look for a way to get a seed for myself.
