Hoy me fui llano adentro en mi jueves de #tbt, con esta foto junto a mi cuñado y socio, en el 2020 nos unimos para comprar unas vacas lecheras, nosotros con la intención de no malgastar nuestros ahorros y también con poder ayudar a mi cuñado que en esos momentos no la estaba pasando muy bien.
Mi esposo y yo poníamos el capital, mi cuñado tenía terreno y se iba a encargar de atenderlos, al principio no teníamos otra entrada de dinero ni otra ocupación, así que mis idas al campo eran muy frecuentes, participaba en el pastoreo, en actividades de su cuidado como al momento de las vacunas, de combatir las garrapatas, hidratacion, sufrimos pérdida con la compra de un toro a los tres meses murió, pero también tuvimos momentos gratos con el nacimiento de varios terneros, tener leche con el que hicimos nuestro propio queso, Arequipe, arroz con leche y como ese momento el de la fotografía que estábamos felices herrando los becerros es decir ponerles identificación para saber cuales eran de mi cuñado y cuales eran los nuestros.

Today I went back to the plains for my #tbt Thursday, with this photo alongside my brother-in-law and business partner. In 2020, we joined forces to buy some dairy cows. Our intention was to avoid wasting our savings and also to help my brother-in-law, who was going through a tough time at the time. My husband and I provided the capital, and my brother-in-law owned the land and was going to take care of them. At first, we didn't have any other income or jobs, so my trips to the countryside were very frequent. I participated in herding and other care activities, such as vaccinations, tick control, and hydration. We suffered a loss when a bull we bought died at three months old, but we also had wonderful moments with the birth of several calves. We had milk with which we made our own cheese, dulce de leche, and rice pudding. And like in that photo, we were happily branding the calves, putting identification tags on them so we knew which ones belonged to my brother-in-law and which ones were ours.

Fue un día de celebración, hicimos un sancocho en leña, tomamos algunos traguitos de ron con mi cuñado que estaba muy contento, también escuchando música llanera, cuando volví a mi casa estaba muy agotada pero satisfecha con los frutos de nuestro pequeño rebaño, hoy en día seguimos en el mismo proyecto gracias a Dios mi cuñado y nosotros nos hemos beneficiado con eso, hemos resuelto problemas vendiendo ganado cuando a sido necesario, las vacas iniciales siguen siendo las mismas hemos vendido solo los becerros, en el mes de diciembre nacieron dos más, también tenemos toro nuevo, tuvimos tiempo que había que quitar prestado pero volvimos a invertir y que sea lo que Dios quiera.

It was a day of celebration. We made sancocho over a wood fire, had a few sips of rum with my brother-in-law who was very happy, and listened to llanera music. When I got home I was very tired but satisfied with the fruits of our small herd. Today we continue with the same project, thank God. My brother-in-law and we have benefited from it. We have solved problems by selling cattle when necessary. The initial cows are still the same; we have only sold the calves. In December, two more were born, and we also have a new bull. There was a time when we had to borrow money, but we reinvested, and whatever God wills will be done.
