ladiesofhive, bienvenidos a mi blog y a mí participación en el Concurso comunitario de Damas de Hive en su edición nro 233, con preguntas elaboradas por la dama @amberkashif, de las cuales quise dar respuesta a la nro dos, espero sea de su agrado y cumpla con las expectativas.

Greetings, friends of the ladiesofhive community, welcome to my blog and to my participation in the 233rd edition of the Ladies of Hive Community Contest, featuring questions posed by @amberkashif. I wanted to answer question number two. I hope you enjoy it and it lives up to your expectations.

Coleccionar objetos es un pasatiempo que muchos disfrutan, a menudo sin siquiera darse cuenta. ¿Tienes una colección, grande o pequeña, que refleje tus intereses o recuerdos? ¿Cuál es el objeto más inusual o sorprendente que has coleccionado y qué te inspiró a conservarlo?
Fuí coleccionista de objetos de poco valor, cajas de fósforo de edición aniversario, estampillas, billetes venezolanos, tarjetas de recargas de teléfono, revistas que venían gratis en los periodicos, los juguetes de bebés disfrazados de mamíferos que venían dentro de la lata de leche Parmalat, insectos muertos que encontraba en mi camino, vasos de gaseosas o cerveza, me convertí en una acumuladora de objetos que solo ocupaban espacio y atraían polvo poco a poco fui dejando el hábito, regalando y botando algunas cosas.
Nunca se convirtió en una obsesión para mí, fue más como un hobby que me permitió desarollar habilidades como la constancia, perseverancia, paciencia y la satisfacción al poder mostrar mi colección a los demás.

Collecting objects is a hobby that many enjoy, often without even realizing it. Do you have a collection, large or small, that reflects your interests or memories? What is the most unusual or surprising object you've collected, and what inspired you to keep it? I was a collector of low-value objects: anniversary matchbooks, stamps, Venezuelan banknotes, phone recharge cards, magazines that came free in newspapers, baby toys dressed as mammals that came inside Parmalat milk cans, dead insects I found along the way, and soda or beer cups. I became a hoarder of objects that only took up space and attracted dust. Little by little, I kicked the habit, giving things away and throwing them away. It never became an obsession for me; it was more of a hobby that allowed me to develop skills such as perseverance, patience, and the satisfaction of being able to show off my collection to others.

Hoy en día conservo pocas cosas creo que las que más me costó conseguir y que ocupan poco espacio, como algunos vasos, billetes de la moneda venezolana de diferentes épocas, una estampilla que tiene un valor significativo, las tarjetas telefónicas aún falta hacer una limpieza en mi closet .
Creo que el objeto más inusual que he coleccionado sería los insectos disecados, llamaban mi atención por su belleza, formas y colores, tenía varias cajas selladas con papel transparente que ordenaba desde el más pequeño al más grande, llegue a tener tres cajas, mis amigos del colegio sabían de mi hobby y me llevaban algunos, casi nunca los repetía, también tuve varias mariposas en colección.
Hoy en día sólo colecciono fotos de momentos compartidos con mi familia, amigos, fotos de mi nieta Amaya Victoria y también fotos de flores, me fascinan las flores, mis vecinos cuando les florece una planta enseguida me avisan para que vaya a fotografíar.

Today, I keep a few things—I think the hardest to get and the ones that take up little space—like some glasses, Venezuelan currency bills from different eras, a stamp that has significant value, and phone cards. My closet still needs some cleaning. I think the most unusual item I've collected would be stuffed insects. They caught my attention for their beauty, shapes, and colors. I had several boxes sealed with transparent film that I arranged from smallest to largest. I ended up with three boxes. My friends from school knew about my hobby and brought me some. I almost never repeated them. I also had several butterflies in my collection. Nowadays, I only collect photos of moments shared with my family and friends, photos of my granddaughter Amaya Victoria, and also photos of flowers. I'm fascinated by flowers. When my neighbors see a plant blooming, they immediately let me know so I can take a photo.
