이 공동체에 함께하게 되어 기쁩니다. 첫 번째 활동은 금요일에 끝났지만, 한국에 대한 제 관심을 여러분과 나누고 싶습니다. 한국에 가본 적은 없지만, 미나리라는 영화를 보면서 처음 한국을 접하게 되었습니다.

더 나은 미래를 위해 미국으로 이주한 한인 가족의 이야기입니다. 그들은 미국을 떠나면서도 자신들의 관습을 버리지 않고, 오히려 가지고 가서 적용합니다.

몇 년 전 영화를 보고 영감을 받아 공모전에 참여하게 되었고, 한국 관습에 대한 제 생각을 공유하고 싶었습니다. 지금까지는 화면으로만 보고, 아버지가 일반 문화에 대해 이야기해 주셨던 내용을 바탕으로 영화를 감상했습니다.

몇 가지 관습만 간략하게 설명하겠습니다. 이건 광범위한 주제니까요. 우선 각 나라마다 서로 인사하는 방식이 다르고, 한국도 예외는 아니라는 점을 말씀드리고 싶습니다. 인사하는 방법을 알면 문제를 피할 수 있습니다. 서로 인사하는 것은 존중심을 바탕으로 하는 예의이며, 인사하는 사람의 직급에 따라 그 방식이 달라집니다.

누군가를 방문할 때 선물을 가져가는 것도 흔한 관습입니다. 먹을 것을 사주거나 향수를 사주는 것을 잊지 마세요. 선물이나 돈을 주거나 받을 때는 두 손을 모두 사용해야 합니다. 그렇지 않으면 무례한 행동이 됩니다.

인천공항에 도착한 후 어느 호텔에 묵을지 정하고 휴식을 취하며 재충전을 한 후 문화와 역사를 직접 만나러 가기로 했습니다.

가장 먼저 방문할 곳은 대한민국의 수도인 서울이었는데, 과거와 현재를 연결할 수 있는 유적지가 많기 때문입니다. 경복궁을 지나가면서 경복궁의 건축물과 설계 방식을 관찰하며 경복궁을 마음껏 즐기고 싶어요.

건물을 둘러보는 상상을 하니 놀라운 행사인 수문장 교대식을 목격하면서 설렘으로 가득 찹니다. 저는 정원과 국립중앙박물관을 돌아다니며 시간을 보낼 것이라고 고백합니다...

명동은 한국의 기념품을 사기 위해 밤낮으로 북적이는 곳이기 때문에 방문 목록에 올려놓을 것입니다. 그리고 맛있는 길거리 음식도 먹고 싶고, 테마가 있는 커피숍에서 멋진 커피도 즐기며 문화에 대해 더 많이 배울 수 있는 관광 명소가 될 것입니다.

남산타워에 가서 석양을 감상하고 아름다운 풍경을 감상하는 건 절대 놓치지 않을 거예요. 한국 역사는 물론, 한국의 풍습과 그 자체도 정말 아름다워서 꼭 한 번 가보고 싶어요.

Korea: Customs and Dreams on an Imaginary Journey.

It is a pleasure to be here in the community, although the first activity ended on Friday, I want to share with you my interest in the country Korea. I have never been to Korea, but my first contact was watching a movie called Minari.

Another common custom is to bring gifts if you visit someone, remember to buy something to eat or just a perfume... When receiving or giving a gift or money, both hands should be involved, otherwise you are rude.

Considering the above and to go further, my imagination started to imagine what my visit to Korea would be like if I have the privilege of going. I would have on my list to visit Myeongdong because it is always bustling day and night to buy handicrafts to have a souvenir of Korea. In addition, I would like to eat its delicious street food, I would also taste some delicious coffee in some themed coffee shop which would definitely be a tourist attraction where I would learn more about the culture.

Corea: Costumbres y Sueños en un Viaje Imaginario.

Es un gusto de estar aquí en la comunidad, aunque la primera actividad terminó el viernes,quiero compartir con ustedes mi interés por el país Corea. Nunca he ido a Corea, pero mi primer contacto fue viendo una película llamada Minari.

La cual trata de una familia coreana que se muda a Estados Unidos por un futuro mejor. Yéndose a otro país, no dejan sus costumbres a un lado, sino que las lleva consigo y las aplica.

El ver la película años atrás fue inspiración para participar en el concurso y dar mi impresión acerca de las costumbres de Corea. Hasta el momento he observado desde la pantalla y lo que me ha contado mi papá en conversaciones sobre cultura general.

Solo tocaré algunas costumbres, este tema es amplio, empezaré por decir que en cada país tiene su forma de saludarse y Corea no es la excepción. El saber hacerlo puede evitar inconvenientes, saludarse es una norma de cortesía que se hace con inclinación, y es diferente según el rango de la gente que saluda.

Otra costumbre común es llevar regalos si visitas a alguien, recuerda comprar algo de comer o simplemente un perfume... Al recibir o entregar un detalle o dinero, deben estar involucradas las dos manos, de no hacerlo, eres descortés.

A su vez, los coreanos evitan hablar de dinero, ya que es algo privado que les concierne a ellos. En los coreanos, entrar descalzo a las casas, es una señal de respeto y de higiene.

En Corea hay un profundo respeto a los ancianos, ellos están involucrados en todas las interacciones de la vida cotidiana y sus decisiones son tomadas en cuenta. Ante lo expuesto, considero mencionar que el té en la cultura coreana es un aspecto que me encanta porque es una bebida relajante que genera bienestar.

Al té lo vinculan con el Darye, que es un ritual que promueve las relaciones entre las personas. Una costumbre sumamente importante es que las novias no visitan la casa de los padres del novio de una vez.

Esto, ocurre cuando tienen dos o tres años aproximadamente, y es porque es una relación seria y van a casarse. En ese momento se conocen ambas familias y observan si tiene buena educación, valores, entre otros.

Considerando lo planteado y para ir más allá, mi imaginación se puso a imaginar cómo sería mi visita a Corea si tengo el privilegio de ir. Te voy a contar qué haría detalladamente, ya comencé a investigar y el viaje de Barquisimeto en Venezuela hasta Corea puede llevar como unas 27 horas, pero esto puede variar por las escalas que se puedan dar.

Mi aventura no me la pienso tomar de prisa, así que sabiendo eso, y a qué hotel llegaría luego de aterrizar en el aeropuerto de Incheon, descansaría para recargar energías e ir a tener mi encuentro directamente con la cultura y historia.

El lugar que primero visitaría sería la capital de Corea Sur, el Seúl, porque tiene sitios históricos de gran relevancia que me permiten conectarme con el pasado y el presente. Pasaría por el Palacio Gyeongbokgung y me lo disfrutaría al máximo observando su arquitectura y cómo está diseñado.

Imaginarme recorrer esa edificación me llena de emoción al poder darme cuenta del cambio de guardia, un evento sorprendente. Les confieso que se me pasaría el tiempo caminando y explorando los jardines y el Museo Nacional de Corea…

Tendría en mi lista para visitar a Myeongdong porque siempre está en movimiento de forma diurna y nocturna para comprar artesanía para tener un recuerdo de Corea. Además, me gustaría comer su deliciosa comida callejera, también degustaría de un rico café en alguna cafetería temática que sin duda sería una atracción turística donde aprendería más sobre la cultura.
