Recently, I was doing several things at once in my house, I wanted to cover more than what I usually do. It turns out that my dad comes and puts me in conversation, and I put the cell phone between the clothes I was going to wash.

I got distracted talking and I didn't remember, the cell phone went into the washing machine, I remembered, and I took it out. It didn't last long in the water, just a few seconds, I dried it, put it in the sun for a while and turned it on.

I could see that I could access WhatsApp and other applications, but it did not take pictures, it said camera error. I was nervous, and at the same time I felt guilty, since I had damaged the cell phone.

It occurred to me to take the cell phone to a specialized technician who lives near the house and he told me that I should not have turned it on because it could have short-circuited internally when in contact with water. He suggested me, for the time being, to do maintenance with his devices and check it and that this would cost 5 dollars, to which I agreed at once.

A few hours later he gave it to me, and the technician told me that one of the cameras had been damaged and had to be replaced, because they did not sell new ones for the model of the cell phone. The way to do it was with cell phones that had had other problems, but with cameras in good condition, the cost was $30.00, including labor and I would be fine.

I didn't give the technician the answer, because the one who was going to give me the money was my husband. When we got home, he told me that we couldn't just go by what the technician said, that we had to ask other people who work with cell phones as well.

My husband inquired, and one told him that the software had to be updated and that the phone would be as good as new, and that if that didn't work, he would return the money. Another one told him that he could get the camera and it was worth less, he went further and another one said that he had to do his revision and I would have to pay...

All this time my husband and I were evaluating the options, without losing hope that it would be solved in my favor. However, I went through Google and he gave me the suggestion to download a temporary camera through the Play Store.

I chose Open Camera, it helped me a lot, it took pictures, although the quality was nowhere near my Samsung Galaxy S10+, I wasn't used to it. So I wrote by WhatsApp to the first technician who gave me more confidence and said I was going to get the money to take the phone.

I took a picture with my cell phone camera and what was the surprise? The phone took the picture perfectly, no problem. I felt sorry for the technician, apologized and saved the 30 dollars.

For the above mentioned, I must say that I feel happy and calm, since my cell phone works well. Currently, it has four years with me, and what I had changed was the lining and tempered glass.

It has not given me any problems, it is my favorite brand, it is a gift that my husband brought me from his trip abroad, because the previous cell phone had no capacity and it turned me off.

Finally, the moral of my story is that you have to be careful with mobile devices so that you do not go through inconveniences like me. This could have been avoided and, if it happens to you, take the time to ask, and investigate, without pressure, and after that make the decision.

Recientemente, estaba haciendo varias cosas a la vez en mi casa, quería abarcar más de lo que acostumbro hacer. Resulta que viene mi papá y me coloca conversación, y coloqué el celular entre la ropa que iba a lavar.

Me distraje hablando y no me acordé , el celular fue a dar en la lavadora, me acordé, y de una lo saqué. No duró mucho tiempo en el agua, solo escasos segundos, lo sequé, y lo puse al sol un rato y lo prendí.

Pude observar que podía meterme al WhatsApp, y otras aplicaciones, pero no me tomaba fotos, decía error de cámara. Me encontraba nerviosa, a su vez me sentía culpable, ya que había dañado el celular.

Se me ocurrió, fue llevar al celular a un técnico especializado que vive cerca de la casa y me dijo que no debí prenderlo porque al estar en contacto con el agua pudo haber hecho cortocircuito internamente. Me sugirió, fue, por el momento, hacerle mantenimiento con sus aparatos y revisar y que eso tendría un valor de 5 dólares, a lo que accedí de una vez.

A las horas me lo entregó, y el técnico me expresó que se le había dañado una de las cámaras y que había que reemplazarlas, porque nuevas no las vendían por el modelo del celular. La forma de hacerlo era con celulares que hayan tenido otros problemas, pero que tengan en buenas condiciones las cámaras, el costo era $30.00, incluyendo la mano de obra y me quedaría bien.

De una vez no le di la respuesta, al técnico, porque el que me iba a dar el dinero era mi esposo. Al llegar a la casa, él me dice que no nos podíamos quedar con lo que decía el técnico, que había que preguntarle a otras personas que trabajan con celulares también.

Mi esposo averiguó, y uno le decía que había que actualizar el software y que el teléfono iba a quedar como nuevo y que, si eso no funcionaba, le regresaba el dinero. Otro le decía que le conseguía la cámara y valía menos, fue más allá y otro expresó que él tenía que hacer su revisión e igualito, yo tenía que pagar…

A todas estas mi esposo y yo evaluando las opciones, sin perder la esperanza de que se solucione a mi favor. Sin embargo, yo me metí por Google y él me dio la sugerencia de descargar una cámara provisional por Play Store.

Elegí el Open Camera, me ayudó mucho, tomaba fotos, aunque la calidad no se le acercaba a mi Samsung Galaxy S10+, no me acostumbraba. Así que le escribí por WhatsApp al primer técnico que me daba más confianza y dije que le iba a buscar el dinero para llevar el teléfono.

Me dio por tomar una foto con la cámara de mi celular y ¿cuál es la sorpresa? Que el teléfono tomaba la foto perfectamente, sin problema. Me dio una pena con el técnico, pedí disculpa y me ahorré los 30 dólares.

Por lo antes mencionado, debo decir que me siento feliz y tranquila, ya que funciona bien mi celular. Actualmente, tiene cuatro años conmigo, y lo que le había cambiado era el forro y el vidrio templado.

No me ha dado problemas, es mi marca favorita, es un regalo que me trajo mi esposo de su viaje al extranjero, porque el celular anterior no tenía capacidad y se me apagaba.

Para finalizar, la moraleja de mi anécdota es que hay que ser cuidadoso con los dispositivos móviles para que no pase por inconvenientes como yo. Esto se pudo evitar y, si le sucede, tómese el tiempo de preguntar, e investigar, sin presiones, y después de eso toma la decisión.
