Celebrating Carnival: A Parade of Joy and Learning [Eng/Esp]
Greetings community, today I remembered that the carnival day parade of this year 2025 had a particularity that the educational institutions celebrated it the last week of February, when in previous years it was the second week of the month.
For this activity it was necessary to make a costume alluding to flora, fauna, rain, earth, water, rainbows..., with recycled material. I made a mask in the shape of a sunflower for Rogsanny to walk during the parade and participate.
The day came, so I couldn't be in two places at the same time with my two daughters, so my husband went with Rogmary to school. While I went with Rogsanny to the Lara School, located on Venezuela Avenue and 28th Street, where the other schools were going to congregate.
I could see beautiful costumes, representatives and cheerful children, very colorful atmosphere, creativity present. The schools that participated were five, among them are: Kindergarten Ayacucho, Jose Gregorio Hernandez, CEI. Teodoro Méndez and the José Trinidad Moran School.
As we walked to the sound of whistles, streamers and slogans, very lively it was at that time. We passed in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Barquisimeto.
The cars and motorcycles gave way to us, all well organized, until we finished the tour. I loved how the activity took place, I took pictures to remember, I hope to continue participating, supporting my daughters and in this way contribute to their learning and family interaction.
Saludos comunidad, hoy se me dio por recordar que el desfile del día de carnaval de este año 2025 tuvo una particularidad que lo celebraron las instituciones educativas la última semana del mes de febrero, cuando en años anteriores era como la segunda semana del mes.
Para esta actividad había que realizar un disfraz alusivo a la flora, fauna, lluvia, tierra, agua, arcoíris…, con material de reciclaje. Yo le hice, fue una máscara con forma de girasol para que Rogsanny caminara durante el desfile y participará.
El día llegó, así que no podía estar en dos lugares al mismo tiempo con mis dos hijas, así que mi esposo se fue con Rogmary a la escuela. Mientras yo me fui con Rogsanny a la escuela Lara, ubicada en la Avenida Venezuela con calle 28, ahí se iban a congregar los demás planteles educativos.
Pude ver hermosos disfraces, los representantes y los niños alegres, el ambiente muy colorido, la creatividad presente. Las escuelas que participaron fueron cinco, entre ellas están: Jardín de Infancia Ayacucho, José Gregorio Hernández, CEI. Teodoro Méndez y el Colegio José Trinidad Moran.
Mientras caminábamos al sonido de los pitos, las serpentinas y las consignas, muy animada estaba en ese momento. Pasamos por todo el frente de la Catedral Metropolitana de Barquisimeto.
Los carros y las motos nos dieron paso, todo bien organizado, hasta que culminamos el recorrido. Me encantó cómo se dio la actividad, tomé fotos para el recuerdo, espero seguir participando, apoyando a mis hijas y de esta manera contribuir a su aprendizaje e interacción familiar.
