Errores Que Cometí Al Vestirme Para Cubrir Un Evento // Mistakes I Made When Dressing to Cover an Event
Éste fin de semana estuvimos cubriendo un evento, éste sería nuestro primer evento de éste estilo y la verdad... ¡Tenía muchos nervios! Pero como siempre, antes de salir hice 50 oraciones pidiéndole a Dios su guía y nos fuimos!
Por lo general, cuándo vas a cubrir como fotógrafo un evento como una fiesta social, existen códigos de vestimenta. Y vestir de negro entra en ésas reglas.
Para evitar reflejos innecesarios en quiénes vas a fotografíar, para evitar llamar demasiado la atención etc. Ropa negra tengo muchísima, pero ninguna que fuera lo suficientemente cómoda para durar varias horas de pie y tirarme al piso y agacharme a cada momento en un lugar con grama, escaleras, etc. Así que no me quedó de otra que usar el único pantalón negro que tengo en existencia, con unos botines altos de tacón cuadrado y blusa negra.
El primer error de una serie de errores fue usar un pantalón muy ajustado. Pues tenía que agacharme demasiado y ésta prenda no me permitía movilidad, al contrario me coagulaba la circulación y las pobres varices casi se explotaban 😅.
El error #02 fue usar calzado alto. Aunque era un tacón cuadrado, y si aportaba elegancia al outfit, ésto no me daba comodidad, por ningún lado... ¿En qué estaba pensando cuando me vestí? Ni idea, pero... Lo cierto es que... En comodidad no era!
Caminar cerca de la piscina mientras hacia las fotos me daba PAVOR! Mis pensamientos intrusivos me decían: Si te caes aquí con la cámara encima, ¡VALISTE MADRES! 🥹
Así que siento que caminaba como una jirafa recién nacida cada vez que pasaba cerca de la piscina para algunas tomas!😅
La moraleja de todo ésto es: Ésta bien querer vernos bien, pero no toda la ropa sirve para ciertas ocasiones. Aunque a simple vista la ropa me diera un aire de elegancia y sofisticación... La falta de comodidad también se transmitía.
Así que en mi lista de próximas compras, agregaré un pantalón de vestir holgado en negro, unos botines bajos en negro, y cualquier ropa negra que me aporte elegancia pero también la comodidad que se precisa para un evento de éste estilo!
Lo importante es que las fotos que iba a realizar salieron espectaculares! Y eso hace que valga la pena cualquier incomodidad que haya sufrido por no tener la ropa adecuada 😅📸✨.
This weekend we were covering an event, our first event of this kind, and to be honest... I was really nervous! But as always, before leaving I said 50 prayers asking God for guidance, and off we went!
Usually, when you go to cover an event such as a social gathering as a photographer, there are dress codes. And wearing black is one of those rules.
It's to avoid unnecessary reflections on the people you're photographing, to avoid drawing too much attention to yourself, etc. I have a lot of black clothes, but none that were comfortable enough to wear for several hours of standing, lying on the floor, and bending over all the time in a place with grass, stairs, etc. So I had no choice but to wear the only pair of black pants I own, with high square-heeled ankle boots and a black blouse.
The first mistake in a series of mistakes was wearing very tight pants. I had to bend down a lot, and this garment didn't allow me to move freely. On the contrary, it restricted my circulation, and my poor varicose veins almost exploded.
Mistake #02 was wearing high heels. Although they were square heels and added elegance to the outfit, they were not comfortable at all... What was I thinking when I got dressed? No idea, but... The truth is... It wasn't comfort!
Walking near the pool while taking photos terrified me! My intrusive thoughts told me: If you fall here with the camera on you, YOU'RE DONE FOR! 🥹
So I felt like I was walking like a newborn giraffe every time I walked near the pool for some shots!😅
The moral of the story is: It's okay to want to look good, but not all clothes are suitable for certain occasions. Even though at first glance the clothes gave me an air of elegance and sophistication... The lack of comfort was also evident.
So, on my list of upcoming purchases, I'll add a pair of loose-fitting black dress pants, some low black ankle boots, and any black clothing that gives me elegance but also the comfort needed for an event like this!
The important thing is that the photos I was going to take turned out spectacular! And that makes any discomfort I suffered worth it.😅📸✨
