I loved this week's suggestion; what better way to end the year than by talking about our favorite movie? It was actually quite difficult to choose, as I consider myself a lover of good cinema, but in the end, I decided on one that I could watch a million times and that still evokes countless emotions in me.

The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Joel Schumacher. Before sharing my choice, I'd like to thank my mom for recommending such a fantastic film.

The first time I saw the film, I was about 15 years old, and at that moment I didn't understand why tears kept welling up in my eyes with every song, every scene, every scream. It was truly a mix of indescribable emotions. I felt so drawn to that mysterious ghost, wondering again and again what lay beneath that mask, and I couldn't stop imagining its enigmatic face.

Then I grew up and watched it whenever I had a moment to enjoy it on the big screen. It was precisely then that I understood one of the lessons repeated throughout the entire plot: never judge anyone by their appearance, nor force someone to love you if they clearly don't feel the same way.

One of the symbols I loved about the work, and which undoubtedly forms part of its image, is the red rose with the black ribbon on its stem. As we all know, this universally represents love, passion, and affection, and in my opinion, the black ribbon in this case represents lost love and mourning, since her great love finally dies.

Another great element that blends disparate emotions is the soundtrack; it was the best and most magnificent choice.

Me ha encantado la propuesta de esta semana, nada mejor que terminar el año hablando de nuestra película favorita. La realidad me ha costado mucho decidirme y es que me considero una amante del buen cine, pero al final me decidí por una que la vería un millón de veces y aún sigue despertando un sinfín de sentimientos en mí.

El fantasma de la òpera dirigido por Joel Schumacher. Antes de comentar mi elección, quisiera agradecer a mi mamá por recomendarme tan grandioso filme.

La primera vez que vi la película tendría unos 15 años y en ese momento no entendía por qué de mis ojos brotaban una y otra lágrima, con cada canción, cada escena, cada grito, la verdad era una mezcla de emociones indescriptibles. Me sentía tan atraída por ese fantasma tan misterioso, me preguntaba una y otra vez que había debajo de esa máscara y no dejaba de imaginarme una y otra vez su enigmático rostro.

Luego crecí y la vi cada vez que tenía un tiempo para deleitarme frente a la gran pantalla, justamente allí fue cuando entendí una de las lecciones que se repetía a lo largo de toda la trama, el no juzgar a nadie por su apariencia, ni obligar a alguien a amarte si claramente no siente lo mismo.

Uno de los símbolos que amé de la obra y que indiscutiblemente forma parte de su imagen es la rosa roja con el lazo negro en su tallo, como todos ya sabemos esta representa universalmente el amor, la pasión y el cariño, y según mi parecer el lazo negro en este caso, representa al amor perdido y el luto, ya que su gran amor muere finalmente.

Otro gran elemento que combina disímiles emociones es la banda sonora, fue la mejor y más grandiosa elección.
