Rule Sets (Modern Format)

Equalizer + 30 Mana and only Fire and Death elements available.

About my Lineup/Strategy

Yodin (Summoner):

The strongest summoner of the Fire element, besides that, it’s great on Equalizer ruleset since I can pick low mana monsters with low HP.

Dumacke Orc:

He fits perfectly with this ruleset due to his Shield and Retaliate ability.

Venator Kinjo and Scavo Chemist:

Kinjo is essential to protect myself with Reflection Shield in a mirror match against Yodin, not only that, both of these monsters has Slow, and Speed is crucial with Blast!

Supply Runner:

Well, in case -2 Speed of slow isn’t enough, I also added Swiftness (+1 Speed) to guarantee that I can strike first.

Serpentine Spy + Spark Pixies:

Both has high speed and attack power, their only weakness are the lack of armor and low HP, but with Equalizer rule set, I don’t need to worry about low HP!

The Battle

Round 1

It is a mirror match as expected! Fortunately I picked Venator Kinjo that has Slow + Reflection Shield as my 2nd position.

Not only that, I also have a small advantage of speed due to Scavo Chemist+Supply Runner (+2 Speed) and Venator Kinjo (-1 speed) against his Supply Runner + Clockwork Aide (+2 Speed) which makes a huge difference in a Blast battle.

I had a bad start, my Serpentine Spy and Dumacke Orc missed their attacks activating Chaos Agent’s Backfire. Fortunately Dumacke has Shield and resisted to all of the enemy attacks.

Round 2

Good start in round 2, Spark Pixies finished with Chaos Agent and my opponent’s backline is going to be very vulnerable once Clockwork Aide dies.

Serpentine Spy poisoned Clockwork Aide right after that and in the end of the round my Dumacke Orc died leaving my backline vulnerable as well.

Round 3

Spark Pixies finally finished with Clockwork Aide slowing down my opponent giving me a good advantage. And I finished this round without any casualties.

Round 4 to 5

At this point the battle was over, my opponent is outnumbered and hopeless, soon their ranged monsters will reach the 1st position and they won’t be able to attack.

Conclusion

The main differences in my lineup was Venator Kinjo protecting my backline longer and also the main tank (Dumacke Orc x Chaos Agent) that had a crucial role with his Shield ability to resist 2 whole rounds.
