PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 152: Serenade [ENG/ESP]

Serenade
On Tuesday, January 13, the eve of the 168th visit of the sacred image of the Divine Shepherdess (Divina Pastora) to Barquisimeto, various activities were held at different locations throughout the city, including serenades and night vigils. Of particular note was the event held at the Basilica of Santa Rosa, which featured the image of this invocation of the Virgin Mary, who is greatly revered in the region and throughout much of Venezuela and abroad.
That night, my sister and brother-in-law invited me to a musical evening held at a well-known local social club, where a trio of bands and artists performed songs from various musical genres to the delight of all in attendance. Beyond its religious significance, this date represents a true cultural phenomenon for the millions of people who usually attend.
Early in the evening, I picked up my mother at her apartment to go to the club, where I had the opportunity to take a couple of photos of her for the family album.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Serenata
El pasado martes 13 de Enero, víspera de la visita 168 de la Sagrada imagen de la Divina Pastora a Barquisimeto, en diferentes puntos de la ciudad se realizaron diversas actividades que incluyeron serenatas y vigilias nocturnas, destacando la realizada en la Basílica de Santa Rosa con la presencia de la imagen de esta advocación de la Virgen María, que cuenta con una gran devoción en la región y en gran parte de Venezuela y del exterior.
Esa noche fuí invitado por mi hermana y mi cuñado a una velada musical que se hizo en un conocido club social local, donde un trío de bandas y artistas interpretaron temas pertenecientes a musicales para el deleite de todos los asistentes, en una fecha que mas allá de su significado religioso, representa un verdadero fenómeno cultural por los millones de personas que suelen acudir.
A primeras horas de la noche, recogí a mi madre en su apartamento para dirigirnos al club, donde tuve la oportunidad de tomarle un par de fotos para el álbum familiar.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
