Surprise is a brief mental and physiological state of emotional disturbance, a startle response experienced as a result of showing or revealing something that was hidden, strange, or a completely unexpected event.

It is a sudden emotion that arises as a consequence of an unforeseen event. Surprises can be pleasant, negative or have no valuation, according to the context.

Yesterday, I was surprised by the unexpected visit of the older of my two sons, who, like his brother, lives in another city with his mother, and whom I had not seen for some time, even though fortunately I always maintain permanent contact via telephone with both of them.

He had an opportunity to travel, and after requesting a temporary permission for a couple of days at his job, he came by road in a queue with my sister-in-law who is visiting Venezuela, after some years living abroad.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

Sorpresa es un breve estado mental y fisiológico de alteración emocional, una respuesta de sobresalto experimentada como resultado de mostrar o desvelar algo que estaba oculto, resulta extraño o de un evento completamente inesperado.

Es una emoción repentina que surge como consecuencia de un suceso no previsto. Las sorpresas pueden ser agradables, negativas o no tener valoración, de acuerdo al contexto.

El día de ayer, fuí sorprendido por la visita inesperada del mayor de mis dos hijos, quien, al igual que su hermano viven en otra ciudad junto a su madre, y al que no había visto en algún tiempo, aún cuando afortunadamente siempre mantengo contacto permanente vía telefónica con los dos.

Se le presentó una oportunidad de viajar, y luego de solicitar un permiso temporal por un par de días en su trabajo, se vino por carretera en una cola o aventón junto a mi cuñada quien se encuentra de visita en Venezuela, luego de algunos años viviendo en el extranjero.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
