PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 69: Light [ENG/ESP]
“To shine your brightest light is to be who you truly are.”
Roy T. Bennett
Light
Light is the physical agent that allows objects to be visible to the naked eye, but beyond this widely accepted concept, light is extremely important for living beings, since it is the primary source of life and energy.
In the visual arts, such as painting, photography or cinema, light is one of the fundamental elements, because without it, much of the art could not exist. In other words, light is the raw material with which the photographer or artist works.
Lighting is an expressive element that acts as an essential tool to tell stories through the presentation of images, highlighting objects, imprinting drama or hiding figures.
Some years ago, while traveling to the city of Guanare, capital of the neighboring state of Portuguesa, we came across a huge sunflower field located on the side of the José Antonio Páez Highway.
The sunflower, due to its property of turning its flower in the direction of the Sun, has symbolized since ancient times the Astro King, but its presence is also linked to love, happiness, energy and vitality; representing in the Chinese culture good luck and long life.
As expected, I parked my car on the side of the road for an impromptu photo session in that immense green-yellow ocean, before resuming our journey.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
All the Photos are of my Authorship, as well as the Edition of the same ones.
