The Flor de Venezuela (Flower of Venezuela), also known as Flor de Hannover, is a cultural center and tourist attraction in the city of Barquisimeto, located a short distance from my home, which represented Venezuela as an exhibition pavilion at Expo 2000, held in Hannover, from where it took its initial name.

After being disassembled and transported by ship, it was reassembled in the place where it is today, being declared artistic and cultural heritage of the nation.

Within its facilities there is a permanent exhibition of Venezuelan fauna and flora, among which are snakes, reptiles and strange specimens of turtles that inhabit the surroundings of the Orinoco River in southern Venezuela, which can be observed by visitors, which can also be touched under the supervision of the staff working in the institution.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

La Flor de Venezuela, también conocida como Flor de Hannover, es un centro cultural y un atractivo turístico de la ciudad de Barquisimeto, ubicado a corta distancia de mi hogar que representó a Venezuela como pabellón de exposiciones en la Expo 2000, realizado en Hannover, de donde tomó su nombre inicial.

Luego de ser desmontado y transportado por barco, fué nuevamente ensamblado en el lugar donde se encuentra hoy en día, siendo declarado patrimonio artístico y cultural de la nación.

Dentro de sus instalaciones existe una exhibición permanente de la fauna y flora venezolana, entre los cuales se encuentran serpientes, reptiles y extraños especímenes de tortugas que habitan en los alrededores del río Orinoco, al sur de Venezuela, y que pueden ser observados por los visitantes, los cuales además pueden ser tocados bajo la supervisión del personal que trabaja en la institución.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
