Yesterday while I was in the back parking lot of the building where I live, I decided to observe the bushes located in the outdoor planters, looking for flowers or insects to photograph.

At some point, I came across this insect with an elongated shape like a cylinder, and that in its external part is colored yellow, brown, black and white; and that was probably resting on the leaf where it was perched, which I took the opportunity to take some pictures from different angles, before it moved away.

According to what I researched on the internet, this specimen would be a cycadelline, of which there would be about 2400 species in about 330 genera.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

El día de ayer mientras me encontraba en el estacionamiento trasero del edificio donde vivo, decidí observar los arbustos ubicados en las jardineras exteriores, buscando flores o insectos para fotografiar.

En algún momento, me encontré con este insecto de forma alargada como un cilindro, y que en su parte externa está coloreada de amarillo, marrón, negro y blanco; y que probablemente estaba descansando en la hoja donde estaba posado, lo cual aproveché para tomarle algunas fotos desde diversos ángulos, antes de que alejara.

De acuerdo con lo que investigué en internet, este especimen sería un cicadelino, del que habría unas 2400 especies en unos 330 géneros.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
