City Walk

Last Wednesday, the 168th Visit of the Sacred Image of the Divine Shepherdess (Divina Pastora) to Barquisimeto began, a massive Catholic event that has been held continuously every January 14 since 1856, with the exception of 2021 and 2022 due to health measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

On this occasion, I waited for the Virgin to pass by on an avenue near my home, and before she reached the place where I was standing, I had the opportunity to take some photos of the surroundings, highlighting this small boutique hotel, recently opened to welcome guests who came to the city to participate in the procession.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

Caminando por la Ciudad

El pasado miércoles, se inició la Visita 168 de la Sagrada imagen de la Divina Pastora a Barquisimeto, un multitudinario evento perteneciente al catolicismo que se realiza ininterrumpidamente cada 14 de Enero desde 1856, con excepción de los años 2021 y 2022 por las medidas sanitarias para evitar la propagación de la pandemia.

En esta ocasión, esperé a la Virgen en su paso por una avenida cercana a mi hogar, y antes de que se acercara al lugar donde me encontraba, tuve la oportunidad de tomar algunas fotos de los alrededores, destacando este pequeño hotel boutique, recién inaugurado para recibir huéspedes que vinieron a la ciudad para participar en la procesión.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
