During the recently concluded Holy Week, I was walking through part of the city center, taking advantage of the scarce vehicular traffic and the small presence of people in the streets, except for the temples where the parishioners were concentrated following the traditions of these dates.

Among the buildings I observed and photographed on my walk, is this one located on 26th Street of the city, which houses the local offices of the tax collector of the country, as well as other government agencies, law firms and offices of various private companies that make life in the region.

This construction, inaugurated in 1992, stands out in its surroundings for its brutalist architectural style, in addition to its height, superior to that of any nearby building, most of which date from the mid-19th or early 20th century.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

Durante la recién finalizada Semana Santa, estuve recorriendo parte del centro de la ciudad aprovechando el escaso tráfico vehicular y la poca presencia de personas en las calles, a excepción de los templos donde se concentraban los feligreses siguiendo las tradiciones de estas fechas.

Entre las edificaciones observé y fotografié en mi caminata, se encuentra esta ubicada en la calle 26 de la ciudad, y la cual alberga las oficinas locales del ente recaudador de impuestos y tributos del país, además de otros organismos gubernamentales, así como bufetes de abogadod y oficinas de diversas empresas privadas que hacen vida en la región.

Esta construcción inaugurada en 1992, destaca en su entorno por su estilo arquitectónico brutalista, además de su altura, superior al de cualquier edificación cercana, la mayoría de las cuales, datan de mediados del Siglo XIX o principios del Siglo XX.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
