In my city, as in the rest of the country, the first days of January are usually quite slow, with few activities since school and work activities usually restart in the second and sometimes in the third week of the month, being these days generally days of rest for most people.

Unlike other latitudes where the beginning of the year is characterized by snowy cities and fields after the Christmas festivities, in Venezuela, although the temperature is usually cooler and more pleasant than the rest of the year, January is also used to bring us clear skies and blues so intense that they do not seem to be real.

A couple of years ago, I decided to walk through part of downtown, an area I don't usually visit because of the chaos and traffic congestion at other times, to take some pictures.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

En mi ciudad, al igual que el resto del país, los primeros días de Enero suelen ser bastante pausados, con pocas actividades ya que las actividades escolares y laborales acostumbran a reiniciarse en la segunda, y a veces, en la tercera semana del mes, siendo estos días generalmente días de descanso para la mayoría.

A diferencia de otras latitudes donde el inicio del año se caracteriza por ciudades y campos nevados luego de las festividades navideñas; en Venezuela, aunque la temperatura suele ser fresca y más agradable que el resto del año, también el mes de Enero acostumbra a brindarnos cielos despejados y azules tan intensos que no parecieran ser reales.

Hace un par de años atrás, decidí recorrer parte del centro de la ciudad, zona que no suelo visitar por el caos y la congestión vehicular de otros momentos, para tomar algunas fotos.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
