Quietness is that which does not move and is therefore in a state of rest. This term can have a positive or negative connotation according to the situation or context in which it is used.

Generally, quietness is associated with peace and tranquility. In this sense, people tend to seek stillness when they need to rest or relax, which means getting away from the stress and problems of everyday life.

On the contrary, in other cases, quietness is linked to the lack of action or activity, something that can be harmful or undesirable.

These photos taken recently, belong to a larger group of urban images, which I captured in the stillness of a Sunday at noon, when the city seemed to barely open its eyes to wake up.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

Quietud es aquello que no se mueve y que, por lo tanto, se encuentra en un estado de reposo. Este término puede tener una connotación positiva o negativa de acuerdo a la situación o contexto en el que se emplee.

Generalmente, la quietud se asocia a la paz y a la tranquilidad. En este sentido, las personas suelen buscar la quietud cuando necesitan descansar o relajarse, lo que supone alejarse del estrés y de los problemas de la cotidianidad.

Por el contrario, en otros casos, la quietud se vincula a la falta de acción o actividad, algo que puede resultar nocivo o indeseable.

Estas fotos tomadas recientemente, pertenecen a un grupo mayor de imágenes urbanas, que capturé en la quietud de un Domingo en horas del mediodía, cuando la ciudad parecía apenas abrir los ojos para despertar.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
