Theater

Theater is the branch of the performing arts related to acting. Its development is linked to a group of actors who represent a story before an audience.

Likewise, the concept of theater is used to name the literary genre that includes those texts designed to be represented on stage, and also, the building where the theatrical pieces are represented.

This pair of images that I took some years ago and belonging to my personal archive, correspond to the Juares Theater, located in the central area of the city of Barquisimeto.

Inaugurated in 1905 with the name of Municipal Theater, in 1912 the Municipal Council assigned it the name of Juares, in homage to General Aquilino Juares, one of the citizens who had most influenced the cultural progress of the city at that time.

Later, in 1947, its total remodeling was decreed, disappearing its old physiognomy to give way to the appearance it still has today.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

El teatro es la rama de las artes escénicas relacionada con la actuación. Su desarrollo está vinculado con un grupo de actores que representan una historia ante una audiencia.

Así mismo, el concepto de teatro se utiliza para nombrar al género literario que comprende aquellos textos pensados para su representación en escena, y también, al edificio donde se representan las piezas teatrales.

Este par de imágenes que tomé algunos años atrás y pertenecientes a mi archivo personal, corresponden al Teatro Juares, ubicado en el casco central de la ciudad de Barquisimeto.

Inaugurado en el año 1905 con el nombre de Teatro Municipal, en el año 1912 el Concejo Municipal le asignaría el nombre de Juares, en homenaje al General Aquilino Juáres, uno de los ciudadanos que más había influido en el progreso cultural de la ciudad en esa época.

Posteriormente, en 1947 se decreta su remodelación total, desapareciendo su antigua fisonomía para darle paso al aspecto que aún hoy día posee.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
