Hope

Hope, in its broadest sense, is a state of mind full of confidence and optimism, which occurs when everything one desires seems feasible or achievable.

It is also one of the religious virtues that Christianity promotes among its faithful, representing a deep belief in the wisdom of God's will, even when it cannot be fully understood.

These photos from my personal archive show the interior of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, which, although not the first Catholic church built in Barquisimeto, was the city's first cathedral, a function it fulfilled until the 1950s, when construction began on the current Cathedral of Our Lady of Carmen, more commonly known as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Barquisimeto.

As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

Esperanza

La esperanza, en su sentido más amplio, es un estado de ánimo pleno de confianza y optimismo, que se produce cuando todo aquello que se desea luce factible o alcanzable.

También es una de las virtudes religiosas que el cristianismo fomenta entre sus fieles, y que representa la creencia profunda en la sabiduría de la voluntad de Dios, incluso aún cuando esta no pueda comprenderse de un todo.

Estas fotos pertenecientes a mi archivo personal, corresponden al interior de la Iglesia San Francisco de Asís, que aún cuando no fué el primer templo católico construído en Barquisimeto, sí fué la primera catedral de la ciudad, función que cumplió hasta la década de los 50, cuando se inició la construcción de la actual Catedral Nuestra Señora del Carmen, más comúnmente conocida como Catedral Metropolitana de Barquisimeto.

Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
