Cool is an attitude, style, behavior or appearance that is considered attractive or fashionable, and therefore, worthy of admiration. In addition, the term can be used to express calmness, tranquility or approval.

A little over a month ago, I was invited to a concert at a well-known social club on the east side of the city, of which my sister and her husband are members.

In the vicinity of the stage there were some stands of companies promoting their products, among which was that of a nascent local brand of rum, which offered various cocktails made with this popular drink to those attending the event.

Curiously, the name chosen by the investors and owners to identify this brand is a word from the Wayúu language, an indigenous ethnic group of the Guajira Peninsula, located in northwestern Venezuela, and means “brother”, probably alluding to the brotherhood that may exist between aficionados and connoisseurs of this Caribbean distillate.

As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.

Cool es una actitud, estilo, comportamiento o apariencia que se considera atractivo o moderno, y por lo tanto, digno de admiración. Además, puede usarse este término para expresar calma, tranquilidad o aprobación.

Hace poco más de un mes atrás, fuí invitado a un concierto en un reconocido club social del este de la ciudad, del cual mi hermana y su esposo son socios.

En los cercanías del escenario habían algunos stands de empresas promocionando sus productos, entre los cuales se encontraba el de una naciente marca local de ron, que ofrecían diversos cocteles elaborados con esta popular bebida a los asistentes al evento.

Curiosamente, el nombre que escogieron los inversionistas y propietarios para identificar a esta marca, es una palabra proveniente de la lengua wayúu, un grupo étnico indígena de la Península de la Guajira, ubicada en el noroeste venezolano, y que significa "hermano", probablemente aludiendo a la hermandad que puede existir entre aficionados y conocedores de este destilado propio del Caribe.

Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
