My Entry to the Friendlymoose Photo Contest - Animals [ENG/ESP]

For many years, the building where I have lived for more than a decade had a cat among its domestic staff whose main responsibility was to keep rodents and snakes away from the residence, considering that there are several vacant lots in the vicinity, which tend to have lush vegetation during the rainy season.
After the cat left, I hadn't seen any cats hanging around the parking lot and gardens, except for the dogs that some of the neighbors have as pets in their apartments and often take for walks. However, yesterday afternoon when I returned to the building, I saw a cat near the vehicle entrance gate.
In addition, the building security guard had placed a bucket full of water so that the cat could quench its thirst while I tried to take some pictures of it. This made me wonder if the condominium board was hiring a new cat to keep away unwanted animals, whose only compensation would be daily food and a home to rest in after finishing its workday.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.

Durante muchos años, el edificio donde he vivido por más de una década, contó con un gato entre sus empleados domésticos que tenía como su principal responsabilidad, alejar a los roedores y serpientes que pudieran entrar a la residencia, considerando que existen varios terrenos baldíos en las cercanías, y que en la temporada de lluvias suelen contar con una frondosa vegetación.
Luego de su partida, no había vuelto a ver gatos merodeando por el estacionamiento y los jardines, con excepción de los perros que algunos de los vecinos tienen como mascotas en sus apartamentos y que suelen sacar a pasear, sin embargo, ayer en la tarde cuando regresé al edificio observé un gato cerca del portón de entrada de los vehículos.
Además, el vigilante del edificio había puesto un balde lleno de agua para que el felino pudiera saciar su sed mientras yo procuraba tomarle algunas fotos, así que me entró la inquietud si la junta de condominio estaba contratando un nuevo gato para alejar a los animales indeseables, y cuya única retribución sería alimento diario y un hogar donde descansar luego de finalizar su jornada laboral.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
