Zingtober Day 3: Boots and a few small Larvies 🐛🥾.

Happy Thursday my dear readers, your friend Manuel greets you and it is a great pleasure for me to have you here a new opportunity for my artistic blog, where I share all my works and artistic creations; This time I bring you a very special post because it is my 1st entry for the contest organized by our dear people of the community Holozing for this month of October. The #Zingtober dynamic is basically about making 1 artwork each day of the month related to the corresponding keyword of that day, which in today's case is (BOOTS), but in a single color scheme; currently we are on the 3rd day of the dynamic and it is really something new for me to paint using only one range of colors, since I am more a fan of using many shades and brushes, so I decided to take my time to practice a little and create a quality work and of course you will like it too:

Feliz jueves mis queridos lectores y lectoras, por aquí los saluda su amigo Manuel y es un grato placer para mi tenerlos por aquí una nueva oportunidad por mi blog artístico, donde comparto todas mis obras y creaciones artísticas; En esta oportunidad les traigo un post muy especial ya que se trata de mi 1ra entrada para el concurso organizado por nuestra querida gente de la comunidad de Holozing para este mes de octubre. La dinámica #Zingtober básicamente trata de realizar 1 obra cada día del mes relacionado con la correspondiente palabra clave de ese día, que en el caso de hoy es (BOOTS), pero en un solo esquema de color; actualmente vamos por el 3er día de la dinámica y es que realmente es algo nuevo para el mi pintar usando solo una gama de colores, puesto que soy más fan de usar muchos tonos y pinceles, así que decidí tomarme mi tiempo para practicar un poco y crear una obra de calidad y que por supuesto les gustara a ustedes también:

The sketching process was done as usual, I took my finest comic brush and began to make strokes, in this case as the main theme would be about the Word (BOOTS) as I had the idea of creating a pair of fairly large boots as a lumberjack lying or abandoned in a meadow or trail, while 3 small creatures (Larvie) get inside them to play while exploring in the forest, and one of them peeks a little his head from inside one of the boots.

El proceso de bocetado lo realice como de costumbre, tome mi pincel mas fino de comic y empecé a realizar trazos, en este caso como el tema principal se trataría de la Palabra (BOTAS) pues tuve la idea de crear un par de botas bastante grandes como de leñador tiradas o abandonadas en un prado o sendero, mientras 3 pequeñas criaturas (Larvie) se meten dentro de ellas a jugar mientras exploran en el bosque, y una de ellas se asoma un poco su cabeza desde el interior de una de las botas.

After finishing the sketch I went to the construction in colors, as in this case I had to color in a single range of tones, I chose to go more towards the grayscale, starting from a more intermediate gray for the base of the creatures (larvies); here I must confess it was a little more complicated to create the volume since I usually like to use varied tones, but well I put my best effort so that the skin of the creatures was very well. In the case of the eyes I used a dark gray tone to form 2 big and awake eyes and then with a gray tone a little lighter than the base tone I created some small shines and reflections on the edges.

Luego de terminar el boceto me pase a la construcción en colores, como en este caso debía colorear en una sola gama de tonos pues opte por irme mas hacia la escala de grises, partiendo desde un gris mas intermedio para la base de las criaturas (larvies); aquí debo confesar me resulto un poco mas complicado crear el volumen ya que por lo general me gusta usar tonos variados, pero bueno puse mi mejor esfuerzo para que la piel de las criaturas quedara muy bien. En el caso de los ojos use un tono gris un poco oscuro para formar 2 grandes y despiertos ojos y luego con un gris un poco mas claro que el tono base forme unos pequeños brillos y reflejos en los bordes.

For the painting of the boots that would be the main theme of my work I used a base gray tone a little darker than the previous ones, here I proposed to make a greater amount of random strokes to represent a texture very similar to that of leather; in addition I only placed light grays in the highest part of the boots and painted some thin braids or laces in the front of the boots. In the case of the background I used the same watercolor brush that I used in the whole work to create some grass on the ground and around the boots; I also came up with the idea of painting some trees in the deepest part of the canvas to give some more perspective of depth to the forest.

Para el pintado de las botas que seria el tema principal de mi obra use un tono gris base un poco mas oscuro que los anteriores, aquí si me propuse realizar una mayor cantidad de trazos aleatorios para representar una textura muy similar a la del cuero; además que solo coloque grises claros en la parte mas altas de las botas y pinte unas delgadas trenzas o agujetas en la parte frontal de las botas. En el caso del fondo use el mismo pincel de acuarela que llevaba en toda la obra para crear un poco de pasto en el suelo y alrededor de las botas; además se me ocurrió la idea de pintar algunos arboles en la parte mas profunda del lienzo para dar algo mas de perspectiva de profundidad al bosque.

Bueno chicos y chicas esto ha sido todo por mi post del dia de hoy, este fue un dibujo que no tenia planificado para esta semana, pero al ver cuál era la palabra al día me pareció muy interesante y me anime a que fuese mi primera entrada para esta dinámica, y por supuesto espero tener tiempo para crear varias mas durante este mes de octubre.
