Digital Art | The spirits inside Naoko's sword 🤺

Very good afternoon my dear readers, happy Friday to all of you and I hope you are feeling great and of course this has been an excellent week for all of you; for those of you who are new to #Hive I introduce myself, my name is Manuel and it is a great pleasure for me to have you here in my art blog. Today I want to share with you an illustration that I've been working on for the last few days and just this morning I was able to finish it, it's a work in which I wanted to create a character of a young girl which was like a kind of swordsman apprentice, but that in addition to her skill with the art of the sword that also was a kind of spiritualist or shaman which through her sword manages to channel the spirits of ancient samurai warriors, which transmit much of his personality and skills with the katana when fighting .... I hope you like it and without further ado I leave you with the process of creation and painting:

Muy buenas tardes mis queridos lectores y lectoras, feliz viernes para todos y espero que se encuentren super bien y que por supuesto esta haya sida una excelente semana para todos ustedes; para los que sean nuevos por aquí por #Hive me presento, mi nombre es Manuel y es un gran gusto para mi el tenerlos por aquí por mi blog de arte. El día de hoy quiero compartirles una ilustración en la que estuve trabajado durante los últimos días y que apenas esta madrugada pude culminar, se trata de una obra en la cual quise crear un personaje de una joven chica la cual fuese como una especie aprendiz de espadachín, pero que además de su habilidad con el arte de la espada que también fuese una especie de espiritista o chaman la cual a través de su espada logra canalizara los espíritus de antiguos guerreros samuráis, los cuales le trasmiten gran parte de su personalidad y habilidades con al katana a la hora de combatir…espero les guste y sin más los dejo con el proceso de creación y pintado:

PROCESS / PROCESO

I started with the sketching process giving a skeleton and structure to the character that in this case I decided to call her (Naoko), and I opted for a pose in which (Naoko) was holding her Katana sword over her head in a kind of defensive pose, but preparing to attack with it. For the coloring process I decided to use a range of reddish tones which are my favorites as many who follow me for a long time will know, and I decided to work first of all the skin of the character, using the watercolor brush which allows me to drag all the colors differently and blend them or merge them in a more subtle way. Then for the eyes I wanted to convey a rather serious expression, so by mixing a bit of red, brown and orange tones I built a rather cold and intimidating look.

Inicie con el proceso de bocetado dándole un esqueleto y estructura al personaje que en este caso decidí llamarla (Naoko), y opte por una pose en la cual (Naoko) estuviese sosteniendo su espada Katana sobre su cabeza en una especie de pose defensiva, pero preparándose para atacar con ella. Para el proceso de coloreado decidí usar una gama de tonos rojizos los cuales son mis favoritos como muchos que me siguen desde hace tiempo sabrá, y decidí trabajar primero que nada la piel del personaje, usando el pincel de acuarela el cual me permite arrastras todos los colores diferente y mezclarlos o fusionarlos de manera más sutil. Después para el apartado de los ojos quise transmitir una expresión bastante seria, entonces mesclando un poco los tonos rojos, marrones y naranjas construí una mirada bastante fría e intimidante.

In the case of clothing I opted for a more casual outfit, but respecting the Japanese style, with brown tones I created a blouse with an appearance like a T-shirt made of thin fabric, then with Vinotinto and purple tones I created a pair of pants but with a slightly wider and baggy appearance; And to finish her outfit I added a kind of open shirt of very smooth fabric and short sleeves, this shirt I decided to give it a look a little more like Hawaiian or something like that that resembled a beach style and that's why I drew a pattern like waves or water moment throughout the shirt. In the case of the hair I opted for a slightly shorter look, I took tones like fuchsia, purple and a little white and tried to texturize the hair as best as possible to give it realism, also with a fine brush I created some loose strands in the front and on the sides in front of her ears.

En el caso de la ropa opte por una vestimenta un poco mas casual, pero respetando el estilo japonés, con tonos marrones cree una blusa con apariencia como de camiseta de tela delgada, luego con tonos Vinotinto y morado cree un pantalón pero con una apariencia un poco mas ancha y holgada; y para finalizar su atuendo agregue una especie de camisa abierta de tela muy lisa y de mangas cortas, esta camisa decidí darle una apariencia un poco mas como hawaiana o algo por el estilo que asemejara un estilo playero y fue por eso que dibuje un patrón como de olas o momento de agua en toda la camisa. En el caso del pelo opte por un look un poco mas corto, tome tonos como el fucsia, el purpura y un poco de blanco y trate de texturizar lo mejor posible el pelo para darle realismo, también con un pincel fino cree algunos mechones sueltos en la parte frontal y a los lados frente a sus orejas.

For the final part I wanted to dedicate myself to give a good appearance to the Katana sword of (Naoko), for this I began taking a range of about 7-8 tones ranging from intermediate gray to a faint blue, I started using a flat brush to give the shape and structure to the entire blade of the sword, for this I had to make the strokes with great patience to get a metallic appearance as realistic and neat as possible, but with the typical and small irregular details on the edge to give realism to the weapon. Then with dark tones I created the hilt of the sword and with yellows and oranges I added details that looked like pure gold in the guard area. Finally I worked a little on the background and I wanted to set it as if it were a kind of living room in which (Naoko) practices and trains with the sword without anyone disturbing her, here I used a brush with a rough texture and Krita to form some columns, horizontal beams and some walls and high windows where the outside light passes through.

Para la parte final quise dedicarme a darle una buena apariencia a la espada Katana de (Naoko), para esto comencé tomando una gama de unos 7-8 tonos que fueran desde el gris intermedio hasta un azul tenue, comencé usando un pincel plano para darle la forma y estructura a toda la hoja de la espada, para esto tuve que realizar los trazos con mucha paciencia para que quedara una apariencia metálica lo más realista prolija posible, pero con los típicos y pequeños detalles irregulares en el filo que le dieran realismo al arma. Luego con tonos oscuros cree la empuñadura de la espada y con amarillos y naranjas agregue detalles con apariencia como de oro puro en la zona de la guarda. Finalmente trabaje un poco el fondo y lo quise ambientar como si fuese una especie de salón en el cual (Naoko) realiza sus practica y entrenamientos con la espada sin que nadie la perturbe, aquí si use un pincel de textura rugosa y Krita para formar algunas columnas, bigas horizontales y algunos muros y ventanales altos por donde pasa la luz exterior.
