Alright, the wait seems to be over finally, as the much-hyped card “Yaba’s Pickle” has finally got an official release date, and I hope all of you who were eagerly waiting for this date can now have a peaceful sleep. But don’t miss out on this deal, because this upcoming special card is about to spice up your collection like never before.

The Yaba’s Pickle is not just a regular card drop, it’s more like a special event. The Yaba’s Pickle will be an upcoming month-long celebration in the lands of splinters, not to mention that it will be packed with card sales, raffle, auction and of course... pickles! So no matter if you are a seasoned warrior in Modern/wild format or just stacking cards as a splinter collector, here is your limited chance to get your hands on this amazing and mouth watering pickle. What is Yaba’s Pickle?

Yaba’s Pickle is the newest upcoming limited edition monster card coming to the official Splinterlands Exclusive Shop. It will be available in three stunning foil versions-

• Regular Foil – Classic and cool.

• Gold Foil – Shiny and stronger, but only with a rare 2% drop rate (4% with Alchemy Potions).

• Black Foil – The ultra rare, brag worthy version with a 1 in 4,000 drop rate (or 1 in 2,000 if you use Midnight Potions).

Sale Date

This sale will be time limited with a 30-day timer, which will start from June 24 onwards. After the timer ends, it will vanish from the store forever. So, be prepared if you don't want to lose this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Another amazing fact of this sale is that 50% of all revenue that this sale generates in the form of DEC will go to the DAO. So when you buy a Pickle, remember that you are supporting the entire ecosystem.

SPS Snapshot on June 17th

The first way to claim a Pickle card is simply by being a loyal SPS stakeholder. As announced in the official post, a snapshot of all staked SPS will be taken on June 17th at 11:30 AM ET / 3:30 PM UTC. For every 1,000 SPS staked, you will earn the right to purchase one Pickle card. Please remember that this is a one-time opportunity, which is bound to that specific moment in time. If you miss the snapshot, you miss the golden chance. So, in case you have got SPS sitting idle or want to increase your chance of getting more cards, then stake SPS now!

General Sale - Regular Foil

In the general sale for the Regular foil cards, each card costs 150 DEC or 150 Credits, but there is a twist — it’s a 30-day only sale, starting June 24. After that, the pickle will vanish from the store forever.

Fortune Draw - Gold Foil Raffle

In case you miss the stakeholder drop or want some shiny foils in your collection, don’t worry, because from July 29 onwards, the Gold Foil Fortune Draw will begin.

Here is how it works

• Each Fortune Draw guarantees a Regular Foil Pickle.

• And every entry gives you a chance to win one of the 50 rare Gold Foil Arcane Cards, drawn daily at 10 AM ET / 2 PM UTC.

• The raffle goes in mint number order, from highest to lowest.

• In order to enter, you need to craft a Fortune Draw ticket using the following items

• 200 Aura

• 10 Vouchers

• 200 DEC

These draws are burned on entry, and will be tradable on the non-card market, and there is no barrier to entry, so you can enter as many times as your wallet allows. In addition to that, you will be able to see how many entries there are each day, so you can calculate, play the odds and maybe plot a strategy to snipe on a low-entry day.

The Rarest Dill - Black Foil Arcane Auction

Now this is where things get even more serious. Because only 20 Black Foil Arcane Yaba’s Pickle cards will ever exist, and they will be distributed through a one-per-day auction beginning from September 23 onwards, where each auction will be running for 25 hours.

In order to participate, you will need to craft Auction Marks using:

• 1000 Aura

• 50 Vouchers

• 500 DEC

Auction Marks are the only bidding currency accepted for the Black foil Pickle cards. They are also tradable, and if you get outbid, don't worry, as your marks will be refunded. So, whether you want to play it aggressively early or sneak in at the end, there will be room for strategy. As for Mint numbers, they will be distributed from highest to lowest just like the gold foils. But, don't be too late, because the earlier you win, the shinier your bragging rights.

Strategy Tip

Now, I guess those of you who are interested in this pickle are already forming strategies while preparing for the upcoming sale. With all three events coming out (Stakeholder drop, Fortune Draw and Auction), there is no doubt that planning and preparing ahead of the sale is the only key. Also, remember that Potions can be used and can double your odds, but funds are finite, so make a solid plan ahead to stick to it. Pick your chase wisely, and after picking up your allocated regular foil cards in the general sale, splitting your strategy between raffle entries and auction bids may be a good strategy to go forward.
