Splinterlands | What Rewards I got from Conclave Arcana Presale?

Finally! After a long wait, the sixth edition Conclave Arcana cards are finally released on splinterlands and players can now use them to play battles. For those of you who are playing the game today, most of you are already testing out these awesome new archons and monsters in battles. The pre-sale of Conclave Arcana packs started on April 22 and ended just recently on May 11. 2 days after the pre-sale, the general sale began on May 13 and not to mention, Conclave Arcana packs can now be opened to receive your cards, which you can now use to play battles. With the introduction of Conclave Arcana in the game, the older Chaos Legion edition cards are now out of Modern format and players can only use Rebellion and Conclave Arcana edition cards in this format. Now, with a lot of new cards being introduced to the game, players are searching for new strategies to utilise the power and abilities of these new cards, and clearly, all the old gameplay strategies are now useless, especially in the modern format. So, if you are into this amazing game, I hope you are all ready to experience and embrace the change that these Conclave Arcana cards have brought. Anyway, like many of you, I also invested in the pre-sale and yesterday, after the general sale and pack opening went live, I immediately opened all my packs and also collected the pre-sale rewards I was allocated for my participation. In today’s post, I will be talking about my participation in the pre-sale and what I received from the packs and pre-sale rewards. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

I was planning and preparing for the CA presale for a long time, because though I am not a fan of pack openings and prefer to buy cards directly from the maker, this time I wanted to try the opposite just for experience, while trying my luck to pull some great cards. Now, when the CA announcement post was released, I was so astonished to see so many new things coming to splinterlands with this new cardset, especially the new black foil and Arcana print cards, which totally captured me and I started preparing with even more energy. Now, gladly, one of my friends partnered with me and together, we plan to make a big purchase to hopefully secure a place in the presale leaderboard and win some cool rewards. So, we analysed the different booster packs and decided to go all in with the Alchemy packs. Together, we bought a total of 834 alchemy packs for 10 million and 8 thousand DEC and made the purchase immediately after the launch of presale, because seeing only 100k alchemy packs being listed for sale in presale. We had a feeling that if multiple whales buy soon after the launch, they may sell out within seconds. Anyway, each of us invested 50% in the pool, so 417 packs each.

Now, yesterday on 13th May, I was literally sticking my eyes with the screen while eagerly waiting for the pack opening to go live. There was some delay, but after some time, it finally went live and the first thing that I saw was the Reward allocation, as you can see in the screenshot above. There were 3 different reward pools for the CA presale. First, the 2 promo cards which were given out exclusively to presale pack buyers and we won a total of 275 promo cards for our purchase. Next, there was a leaderboard reward for top buyers and sadly, even after making such a big purchase, our rank got washed out by whales at the last hour and we were only been able to secure the 43rd rank in the leaderboard. At last, there was a Raffle pack that buyers could randomly win huge prizes like ultra rare black and arcana print cards if any of their tickets were picked. But sadly, even after having 10,008 tickets, we didn't earn anything from the raffle reward pool.

Moving on, let us first take a look at the promo cards that we received from the presale rewards. You already know that there were 2 different promo cards this time to be won, one of them was legendary and the other one was rare. The promo cards were guaranteed rewards and as for distribution, for every 40k DEC spent, the user will receive one BCX of the rare card, while for the Legendary card, one BCX would be given out to a user for every 400k DEC spent. Each of these cards would have the same 4% chance to turn into gold foil, with the guarantee for every 25th BCX card (for both monsters) to turn into gold foil. Now. As we have bought packs worth just a little over 10 million in total, we were rewarded with a total of 240 regular foils and 10 gold foils of the rare promo card, while we received 24 regular foils and 1 gold foil of the legendary promo card, as you can see from the screenshot above. However, our luck didn't shine here because we did not get any extra gold foil cards, excluding the guaranteed ones.

Now, moving on to the leaderboard reward, here is where our hearts got broken during the last 2 days. As I said, we made the purchase just after the launch of the presale and as a result, my name was shining among the top 10 presale buyers. I obviously knew that we can't hold this position for long without making anymore pack purchase, but we really thought we could at least secure a place in the top 30. But who knew whales were preparing even harder behind the shadows? Because during the last 2 days, an immense number of packs were being sold out, especially during the last hours. As a result, we got thrown even out of the top 30 and somehow managed to stay in the top 50 buyers list. For it didn't go in vain totally, as for our position in the top, we still got rewarded with 2 awesome gifts - an Epic title named Enigma and another Fold foil BCX of the Rare promo card Arcane Skinwalker.

Lastly, at the raffle as well, we failed to snatch anything from the reward pool. There were a total of 71 cards in the raffle pool to be given out to random pack buyers if their raffle ticket was selected. But obviously, there were thousands of users who bought packs and booked their tickets, especially the top 30 buyers who probably have scored way more than us. So, our chances were already really low in this pool, hard to expect anything at all and that’s exactly what happened. No complaints, but would have loved to get even a single Arcana print or a Black foil, even ehh..

Anyway, these are what we received from the CA presale and I have already split the rewards and sent them to my partner. The only things that remain are one Gold foil legendary, one Gold Foil rare promo card (from lb rewards) and the title, which are in odd numbers and can't be split. Hence, we have decided to sell these 3 things in the market and share the DEC among ourselves. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I would really love to experience it again when the presale for next year's cardset arrives.
