Splinterlands - my progress, brawls and opened 16 gladius packs!

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing amazing in your life and also spending the weekend with your family and friends. But looking at this ranked season, we have already come near the end of this ongoing one and only 5 days and 18 hours left for it to meet its end, so I hope all of you are battling with all your blood and sweat in order to reach your goal spot and claim the glory. While the crypto market is looking strong right now with BTC being stable above 30k$, Hive at 0.33$ and also Dec securing its spot above 0.00087$, I am getting a good feeling that SPS, the in-game reward and governance token of Splinterlands also has a high chance of pumping out from its lowest position of 0.017$ as I am tired to see it getting stuck at here. Anyways, I have already reached the Diamond I tier and now playing not only against the top players in Diamond but sometimes even against the OG champion players as well. As of writing, I have collected total of 75 season reward chests so far and have another 5 and a half days in hand, I think I can reach 100 chests for this season as well, but only time can tell. Talking about daily focus chests, Today I got the Dragon rule as my daily focus mission which is one of my favorite rules and already played with it and collected 11 reward chests which I will be opening the next morning. If I can manage some time before the chests get unlocked, I am thinking to play some more and get another 2-3 chests before the time out. As the season end is getting near, I should utilize my Energy well so that I reach the top leaderboard position without spending any more DEC after buying more energy, so it’s better to accomplish that within the next 2 or 3 days as we already know about the blood bath war that happens on last 2 days of every season end.

You probably know that in the next quarter, the collection power CP requirement will get changed to staked SPS in order to receive rewards which is a major change in the game to get kicked in and in order to receive the 100% of rewards while playing in a certain league, the players have to stake a large amount of SPS into their accounts. As I use to play in the Diamond League, so respecting the chart, I would have to have to stake around 177k SPS to get able to receive the full amount of rewards from ranked gameplay but sadly, till now I have been able to stale only 87k SPS so far. As you can see from the screenshot above, my current SPS count is 87,368 which is valued at around 1,453$ right now. The APR rewards that we get for staking SPS in the form of liquid SPS + Vouchers is currently at 18.58% so obviously we are getting fewer rewards as more people are staking while the total reward pool is static. I kept my vouchers balanced untouched for quite some time now and today as I saw, I have already collected over 83 vouchers as staking rewards but sadly, the price of vouchers has taken a bad hit and is currently being traded around 0.04$ only and I believe the price will continue to decrease until another sale gets live and eat up some vouchers from the huge existing supply.

Brawls

Now, let us take a look into the brawls and if you don't know already, apart from playing ranked gameplay and tournaments, this game also have a unique game type as brawls where different guilds come together and fight against each other and the better place a guild secures in the leaderboard, the more rewards they get. I am a proud member of the Neoxian Guild and being a super active guild, we play every brawl and just finished playing another one which just ended today morning. But sadly, due to having some tough competition this time, we couldn't secure the first position and got the second place in the lb instead for this time. But needless to say that each of our guild members played exceptionally well and we missed the top spot by only a couple of points. However, as for rewards in this brawl, our guild got rewarded with a total of 182 crowns and each participating member of our guild who played all their frays got rewarded with 159.286 SPS and 10,40” merits each, which I think is a very good price for playing a single brawl. Thanks to our guild owner Mr. Neoxian and all my fellow warriors who put all their skills and efforts to bring home the rewards.

Anyways, It's been a long time since I opened any Gladius packs and as these cards are now useful in ranked matches and tournaments as well, everyone including me is now more focused on collecting as many merits as we can to buy more Gladius packs and collect more gladius cards. So, after receiving the brawl rewards, I went to the Guild building page to look at how many stacks of merits I have accumulated so far. To my surprise, I saw that my guild pouch is holding a whopping 33,382 Merits for me, so without wasting a second anymore, I quickly bought 16 Gladius packs with my merits and opened them all at once. Below, I have shared my outcome so let's have a look at what I have found this time!

As you can clearly see, the outcome really favored me for this time, and a handful of gold foils and legendary cards from them. This time I didn’t wish for much as my luck with pack openings does not hold a good record, but somehow I got lucky and pulled 2 gold foil rares, 1 gold foil common, 1 legendary, 2 epics and all rest as rares and commons. The best card that I think I get from this pull is obviously the 2 gold foil rares and the legendary Sola Ranjell which is one of my best glad cards with healing ability.
