Splinterlands | Have you Started your Land Production?

Hello Readers,

It's been a really unlucky day for me and the worst part is that I was the only one who was responsible for it. But before sharing that story with you all, let us first look at Splinterlands and if you have been active on Hive and catching up with all the updates in this game, then you must also be surprised seeing so many updates in different segments of the game in such a short amount of time. First, they started with seasonal only rentals and a 1 DEC minimum floor price for both card rentals and rental fees, which disrupted the whole rental market. Then they came with another 2 gigantic announcements - the upcoming Conclave Arcana edition cardset and Land 1.75 Update. With the upcoming Conclave edition cards, not only is Splinterlands launching a brand new batch of cards, but they also restructured the whole pack system and instead of 1 type of pack, with the upcoming Conclave Arcana set, we will be seeing 4 different types of Packs. Next, with the Land update, they have introduced 2 new resources - Wood, Stone and Iron and also added many new utilities and tools like Liquidity Pools, Resource Swaps and improved Land gameplay and UI. So definitely, Splinterlands is working hard to make the game interesting and interactive to onboard more people to this game and like me, I think many of you are impressed with what they are doing.

If anyone wants to join the Land in Splinterlands, now may be a great time to do so. Because these 3 new resources have just launched in Land, no one is holding a stockpile of them, so joining now would give you the chance to start early. In case you are already running Lands and have been producing Grain or SPS, from now on, you will need these 3 new resources - Wood, Stone and Iron to claim your harvest. Moreover, these 3 new resources will be rarer items than Grain and as expected, they will cost more than Grain, so producing them early would surely give you an advantage.

Now, in case anyone wants to kickstart their journey in Lands, the first question would be how much it would take to purchase a Land Plot. If we look at the official Splinterlands marketplace, you can buy a Land Plot claim for 42.39$. This is a Plot Claim token and after purchasing, you have to use this Land token to claim a Land Plot, which can be of any rarity. However, if you want to go big and buy a Land Tract Claim or A Land Region Claim token, you will require 11,750$ and 88,888.88$, respectively. You may also choose to buy a Land Plot Claim from Hive-Engine, where the lowest buy and sell price for a Land Plot token is 28.8$ and 34$ respectively. Apart from Land, in order to increase your production rate, you can also choose to buy different rarities of Totems and while a common Totem Claim will only cost you around 12.5$, for Rare, Epic and Legendary plots, it will require 69.7$, 300$ and 1,750$ respectively.

In case you don‘t want to buy Land Plot Claims and instead want to buy claimed Land Plots, in which rarity and features are already revealed, then you can visit Peakmonsters website’s Land market page and browse through the listed Lands to find the best ones that suit you. Right now, as I checked, the minimum price of a common, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic type Land is 14$, 25$, 89.6$, 250$ and 850$ respectively.

Anyway, after hearing the Land 1.75 Update, I decided to restart my Land. I bought only one Land a while ago, as I was, as usual, only focused on getting all the missing cards in my collection and not to mention, after running it for a while and collecting around 350k Grain, I decided to stop producing and focused back on playing.

But now that I am not actively playing and instead renting my cards and SPS, restarting my Land with my existing cards felt like a good idea. So, I decided to run my Land Plot again and for that, I selected the 5 best cards from my collection and revoked them from renting. Now, as I already have a Land and required Cards and also a power core to Turn On the Land, the last thing I needed was 50k DEC, which I was accumulating in the meantime. Today, after my final Dec buy order got filled, I was so excited to finally begin my land production again. So I went to the land straight away and began the process. But sadly, I already selected my 5 cards some days earlier to measure the outcome and saved my final card choice.

So today, when I again emptied all those slots and tried to insert the same cards again (I seriously didn't realise what I was doing), I unintentionally sent all those 5 cards to cooldown, which will end after 3 days. It was a stupid act from me and as they say, curiosity kills the cat, I think the same has happened to me today. But anyway, thank God I only sent them to cool down and not to burn, so I will just patiently wait 3 more days and then begin my land production. In the meantime, I will be browsing through the claimed land plots in peakmonsters if I can find any awesome deal, so let's see how it goes.

If you have not saved the changes, then I guess it is fine to remove and equip the cards.

Yeah, that’s the mistake I did, forgetting the fact that cooldown applies on Land too! No worries thou, 1 of 3 days has passed already, so a little more wait !pimp !BBH

I have, but still not that excited about it. I shuffled around some monsters to balance out my production to be self-supporting my 2 research huts and 1 shard mine.
