Splinterlands | Farming Grain resource from my Land
Hello Splinterlands lovers!
I hope all of you are doing awesome in life and enjoying this game in your daily free time. There is no doubt at this point that splinterlands is one of the most successful web3 projects, because while most of the other such projects are failing to survive for a long time, Splinterlands is not only surviving but actually thriving and growing. Recently, Splinterlands announced a new project, the Crypto Gaming Recovery Fund, which the Splinterlands team and DAO have been working on. This initiative aims to strengthen the economy and relations with other Web3 projects. The official team has been working relentlessly to bring useful upgrades and add-ons to the splinterlands ecosystem to build a more robust, player-friendly environment. So far, I think they are doing amazingly amazing.

If we just take a look at the recent changes or upgrades that were introduced to the game, first we saw a few change in renting - where both the minimum renting floor price and renting list fee increased to 1 dec per card and not to mention, daily rental service got removed and replaced entirely by season renting. We also saw the long awaited Land 1.75 Update, where they introduced 3 new resources to be produced in Land plots - Wood, Stone and Iron and also created 3 new liquidity pools in the land’s Merchant page, where all these 3 new resources can be staked with equal valuation of DEC, enabling the player to start earning for this share in these liquidity pools. Now, after the community members could take a peaceful breath after grasping all these new updates, splinterlands launched another big rocket to make everyone feel stunned - yes, I am talking about the Conclave Arcana cards, the sixth edition core card-set in the game after its previous edition, Rebellion cards. If you are already engaging with the game, then most probably you are already witnessing the immense hype created around these newly introduced cards in the game and how people are jumping in and desperately growing their Conclave Arcana card collection, especially if they are playing in the modern format. The presale for Conclave Arcana edition packs ended just in 11th May and if you have not heard, splinterlands has made history with the pre-sale while selling nearly 2.4 million USD of packs just in pre-sale that lasted for 2 weeks. Right now, the general sale is ongoing, where you can find the CA packs selling for the same rate, or rather, you may also start peaking at the card market and snipe on good card deals.

Anyway, while everyone in the splinterlands universe is super focused on Conclave Arcana edition cards and researching with them on the battlefield to find some crazy powerful combos utilising these cards, another aspect of the game that we should not neglect is - Land. For those who are probably new and don’t know, Land is a part of the ongoing expansion of splinterlands, where players can interact with land plots and stake cards, DEC and other in-game items to generate passive income. Now, many of you reading this are owning at least one or multiple lands and have been producing resources and just like you, I also own and run a land plot which I am about to talk about in today’s post. So, if you are interested, let's take a dive without any further ado.
I currently have only 1 land plot that I bought a long time ago and have been producing resources for a while now. Taking a look at my only Land plot, it is a common type of plot and the terrain type of my Land is Lake. In the Land map, my Land is located in the great lowlands under the Hamford region and the Number of my Land is 121. Now, because of its terrain type, my land is able to farm Grain resource and as I have only 1 plot of Land, I am using my best cards with DEC on this Land to increase its efficiency.
As you can see from the screenshot above, I have only 1 Land plot active here. The box on the upper left side represents the number of active land plots and their types, etc and the box on the right side shows the total resource production activity. As I have only 1 Land plot running that produces Grain, you can see the actively running worksite, productivity, resources produced per hour and the amount of resources ready to harvest. Below, you can see all your active Land plots running at current, along with some other stats like - region no, name, worksites, staked DEC amount, Resource/hour rate, research/hour rate, SPS / hour rate, last harvested and Grain required to claim a harvest. Now, a land plot takes a 7-day period to fill its produced resource capacity to 100%. If you are late in claiming after this period, then you are missing the chance of producing more resources from your land, as it would stay idle.
Now, as I said, I have used all the best cards I had along with DEC to increase my production rate and as you can see from the screenshot above, I have filled all the basic required amounts to increase my production efficiency on my land. Apart from staking 5 best cards from my collection in my Land, I have also staked a total of 50k DEC to fill all the DEC requirements. However, as my Land plot is a common type of Neutral Land Plot, it does not give any boost to the resource production.

Now, looking at the production rate of my Land, it produces 308 grains per hour and as usual, our worksite capacity gets full after a 7-day period. Just recently, when I rent to rechecked my Land, I found out it is sitting at 97% and about to get filled within some time. So, I didn't waste any time and straight away claimed my produced Grain resource. As you can see above, I have produced around 50,088 grains this time and after clicking on the Harvest button, it will redirect me to the Resource Claim page.
Upon redirecting to the Resource Claim page, this page shows you all the information regarding your resource claim. First of all, it shows you the capacity used in your worksite and I would suggest all to claim before it reaches 100% capacity. Next, it shows you the Grain Tax, which will be applicable to your harvested resource. Lastly, you need to feed the Land workers before claiming your resources. Now, workers can only be fed via the Grain resource, irrespective of which resource they are producing, so glad that I have a Grain plot and I can easily pay both the fees from my harvested Grain. Anyway, for this case, in order to claim my 50,089 Grain, I need to pay around 5009 Grain as Tax and another -22,768 Grain to feed the workers. When you click on Pay the Workers, it will automatically pay the fees and feeding amount, and claim the rest of your produced resources in the Land resource wallets.
So, after paying the taxes and feeding the workers, I actually gained around 22,313 Grain, which for stored in my Land wallet. If you calculate, that’s a little less than half of what I produced in my Grain plot.
Right now, I have saved 45k+ Grain in my Land wallet and have another 500k grain staked in the liquidity pools with DEC. I will keep harvesting and loading my Grain into the liquidity pool, whereas I am also thinking of buying a few more plots slowly to produce other resources on them. Let’s see how that goes.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post about Lands, Grain Farming and Merchant Fees. Please let me know your thoughts about this monster in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.

Well to be honest it's something out of my knowledge, but I am trying to gain more knowledge about the land and all. But it seems like you have really made a great investment and making good returns from it. Going good mango sir.!
Haha,😅 I only have one plot chinay bro, so I am not making money from Land. Whatever dust I earn, I invest it back in the pool, so that the total grows over time. Thanks for visiting

Land is the thing that I never touched, and my main focus was to increase the staked SPs and strengthen my deck. Also, SPs node, but since you are giving information in detail and in an easy way, it is easy for all of us to dive deep into it. Thanks for the important information. Solid read.
