Hello Readers,

Welcome to the 7th series post of Moonkarts Tutorial where I learn about the game basics, one thing at a time and share that with you all, so that you guys can make better decisions while interacting with the game. In my past tutorial posts, We have discussed Karts, Drivers, Power-Up, Card Levels and Merging, etc and in today’s post, let us continue this series with our next important topic, Presets. When you are busy mastering your Races and testing your skills on hard levels with different kits and karts, the Preset helps you being your pre-saved layouts of combined cards including a driver, kart, tech and power-up cards etc.

The idea is to keep testing and then save your preferred set in Presets, performance better and save in presets to come up with the Perfect Combo with your Moonkarts cards! Because, if you want to dominate the asphalt tracks in Moonkarts, you would need something more than just speed. Strategy is everything here, which lies directly upon the combo of cards you are using and your skill in the game! Well, that’s where the importance of Presets comes in.

What Are Presets in Moonkarts?

The Preset feature allows you to save and switch between four different customized kart setups, so you can always be ready for races under any type of terrain or track, opponents or challenges. So in this post, dive into how Presets can give you the ultimate edge and how I am using Presets while playing Moonkarts!

In simple words, just think of Presets like a quick-access menu on your game for your best racing setups, saved and ready to use. So that instead of wasting time adjusting your Driver and Kart parts before every race, you can simply save up to four different builds in your preset and switch between them whenever required. On Moonkarts, racers sometimes ride on plain straight roads, but some roads have excessive turns or ups and downs. Now, not every kart setup will be effective under all the different tracks, that’s why preset becomes handy to save you different kart sets and access them with just one click.

Why Are Presets So Useful?

  • Multiple Configurations – In Preset, you can save up to four unique Racing setups. Each preset will come with its own driver, kart, tech and all other accessories, and power-ups etc. will have their dedicated slots.
  • Easy Switching – Analyse your race and then pick the perfect preset for better performance before every race to match the track or counter your rivals.
  • Strategic Adaptability – In Moonkarts, using presets you can also different setups ready for different race types, or 4 different Presets using your 4 best Karts + Drivers, no matter what’s your strategy, with different options in Presets, you would never get caught off guard.

How to Create and Manage Presets

Customizing Your Preset

Here you can view an empty Preset and if you closely look, there are multiple slots dedicated to different card types. Each preset can be fully customized according to your choice of cards. That means you get to choose:

  • Your Driver – Pick a racer that suits your play style or is ideal for a particular type of race track.

  • Your Kart – Select the best vehicle according to your requirements - speed, handling, or defense.

  • Tech Cards – Boost your racing abilities with the right power-ups, try different combos and save them in different presets.

  • Accessories & Power-ups – These car parts give you an extra edge on the track.

So, carefully using each of them with different card parts to find out suitable combo, you will need the preset to save your research.

Saving Presets

Now, once you have built your ideal setup using your choice of suitable Driver, Kart and their parts and power-ups, Now, just save it as one of your four presets. So that the next time you race, just select your saved preset and go, no need to rebuild everything from scratch ever again! 3.

Editing & Updating

Now as you keep playing and trying, your strategy will evolve as you improve your driving skill, unlock new items, and face tougher opponents in multiplayer races. But no worries, as you can easily edit your presets anytime to keep them up-to-date and competitive.

Presets Give You Tactical Advantage

Stay One Step Ahead of the Competition

Strategically thinking, with multiple presets at your disposal, you can quickly adjust your strategy based on your race track or opponents. If you think the race will not favor speed, you can switch to a defensive build from your blazing-fast kart to counter them!

Optimise for Every Track

On Moonkarts, every race track is different and mastering each of them will take a long time even if you play dedicatedly. Some of these tracks have tight sharp turns, or ups and downs while others have long straightaways. With presets, you can create specific dedicated Kart builds for each type of track and quickly select the best one before the race begins without wasting any time.

  1. Balanced vs. Specialized Builds

If you area absolutely new to the game and are not sure what to do with your Preset, I would ask you to try different strategies that l like as stated below.

  • Balanced Preset – A mix of speed, control, and power-ups for general racing and try mixing different kart parts and power-ups under the same driver or kart. If you are facing difficulty while cornering, try with different karts and drivers with high Handling using preset.
  • Speed Preset – Try creating a speed-focused preset, which is only reserved for maximized acceleration and top speed for straight tracks.

  • Defence Preset – Sometimes, armour works better than Arrows, and in Moonkarts also, sometimes you need to protect yourself rather than just chasing fast. So, also try to focus on shields and stability to counter aggressive players.

My Experience

From my little experience so far, I can tell that apart from having and strategically choosing cards under different circumstances, Moonkarts is also about your driving skill, strategy and being prepared for anything. The Presets is really a helpful feature that gives you the ultimate control over your racing presets and it also saves a lot of time. In the screenshots above, I have also shared different presets with different cards as I am practicing with these sets of cards right now. While practicing different strategies, the Preset lets you adapt to multiple frames, easily without the unwanted rebuilding from scratch problem. So this feature really helps you to stay competitive against any opponent. So be sure to utilize the Preset option whenever you are building for speed, power or defence because having the right preset can erase the difference between victory and defeat for you.
