Enjoying an Offbeat Trip on New Year

Happy New Year to you all and I hope you all are celebrating the day with your loved ones. Now I am sure each of you have planned well to celebrate your new year and if you ask me, this time I decided to make a trip to an offbeat location to enjoy some calm nature time with my wife and in today’s post, I will be sharing my experience of my trip. So if you are interested, let us begin.

We use to live in a busy metro city and for a long time, we didn't go for any trip and was bored and tired of the everyday life. So this new year, we decided to celebrate this festive occasion a bit closer to nature and away from the busy city life. So I and my wife was searching for such a place that doesn't hurt our pockets but gifts us a different vibe. So after searching through different vlogging videos covering off ear places not far from the city, we finally found one. It was a beach adjacent to our state which requires a 5 hour’s journey via Train and then car. The place is called Dublagori beach and it is situated in the state of Odissa. So as planned, we began our journey early morning today. First we reached at the Train Station by a State bus and from there we onboarded ourselves on an express train. After a 3 and a half hours journey, we reached the Balasore station in Odissa and from there, we reserved a car and took another almost 2 hours journey to reach our resort.

The resort was just a little away from the beach and it was actually a camp with different types of rooms including tents, mid huts and cottages. We booked a mud hut earlier to experience the uniqueness and as we reached there around 2 pm, we were welcomed with a coconut each. After getting refreshed, we had a delicious lunch there which included Rice, potato fry and some other veggies and a sea food dish. The fish was really mouth watering and after finishing our lunch, we went to visit the beach.

The beach was a 5 minutes of walk from the camp and it was a mud road through a forest. We never thought we would be enjoying a little forest vibe while visiting a beach and was very happy to to experience this bonus. The forest was dense and we could hear the waves cracking by the ocean bank.

Anyway, after clicking some pictures and selfies, when we reached the beach, we were mesmerised seeing the scenery. It was so calm and pleasant and unlike our last trip to another beach, this one was not at all crowded, which enriched the experience even more. We took a lot of photos and also picked up lots of colourful sea shells by the beach.

By the time we reached the sea beach, it was low tide so the water was a bit away from the beach. So we walked for a while there and then returned to our room and took a sound sleep at the afternoon cause we were too tired by then. Anyway, tomorrow after enjoying some sightseeing we will be returning to the city. But in our memories this place has already made a permanent place and will stay forever.
