Splinterlands - total 125k SPS reached | Opened 43 Gladius packs today!

What’s up my fellow splinterlands lovers!

I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your loved ones and also waiting for the upcoming weekend to chill out and kill stress. But for us splinterlands players, the time is going lazy right now because we just completed playing a ranked season and the new one still has almost 10 days to end. But if you are a serious player, most probably you are playing still on a daily basis and collecting those daily focus and season reward chests. The case is the same for me as after taking a little break after the last season's end to recharge my ECR rate back to a healthy position, I have started to fight continuously again in the ranked arena and after I completed playing for today, I have collected total 30 season rewards chests till now. Now having another 9 days and 17 hours in hand, I think I can gather another 35 season chests at least, but I have to admit that collecting reward chests is a tougher job in the Champion League than playing in the Diamond League.

As for the daily focus mission, today I got the Ailments rule as my focus mission and finished playing for today after collecting a total of 10 reward chests. Luckily, ad there is not much competition right now in the champion II tier and as I have rented some good summoner and monsters' untamed edition cards to play brawls, I performed pretty well and scored a good number of wins and currently staying with a current trophy count of 4,267. But I am pretty sure the next day I will get booted out far from this position again lol. Anyways, my old readers and friends know that I used to play in the Diamond League for a long time span as I didn't have a jaw-dropping max collection of cards but recently, I have started trying my luck in the Champion League and to stay competitive, I have also started renting cards during brawls, tournaments and season end lb rewards. But talking about tournaments, it's been several days that we have passed in this ongoing season but no new tournaments have been listed by the official splinterlands team so I am waiting eagerly to see some updates on the tourney page and I guess many of you are doing the same right now.

Yes, as I have talked about it in my several old posts, I am still sticking with the same strategy and have been staking all my in-game SPS earnings from all types of gameplays - ranked, tournament and brawls back into the in-game staking wallet, not to mention that the amount of SPS I earn from staking rewards also gets staked back daily and luckily today after I claimed and staked all my rewards, I reached another SPS staking milestone of total 125k + SPS. I am feeling very happy right now because I am one step closer to my goal of having a total stake of 200k SPS in my wallet and only around 75k left to achieve that milestone, but as I am gaining a bigger stake every day, the staking rewards are also increasing little by little every day and upon that, playing in champion league has also enabled me to earn slightly more SPS than that of Diamond. So I hope that within the next 4 to 5 months, I can reach my goal if all goes smoothly. However, the continuous decrement in the price of SPS is making me concerned and I know many of you are also tensed to see it fall a little every day and make new all-time lows. In the recent major incident where the splinterlands official team got reduced to control the company spending and to make the project more sustainable, Aggroed and some employees left us which created a mourning situation and some backlashes as well. But I personally think it was a heart breaking but important decision to make for the greater good of this project. Hopefully, if the game survives till the next bull run which I think is a certainty at this point, things will get changed drastically and the bull may visit us sooner than we think.

Now, let’s move over and talk about Gladius cards. We, the Neoxian guild are playing another brawl and I have already played all my fray matches. But after completing playing the brawl, I got curious to see how many merit points I had saved till now because it's been a long since I opened any Gladius pack. However, when ai visited the guild shop page, I got stunned literally to see I have already saved a freaking total of 87,659 merits in my account and right now I can buy 43 packs with them. So I did exactly that and within a blink, I bought them and opened them all at once and here is the outcome that I shared below.

Well, I am feeling joyful right now because as you can see from the screenshots above, this time the pull has got me some really nice gold foil and some fabulous regular foil cards. I got a total of 3 gold foil rares and 1 gold foil commons and for regular foils, I received 2 legendaries, 7 epic cards, and all rest in rare and common cards. The best card that I got from this great pull is none other than the Fina Voxom. I still had only 1 bcx of this card and luckily I received another today, but I still need one more to upgrade it to level 2, but getting a legendary Gladius card is very very rate so I may have to wait for a couple of months just to get another copy of this Foxom.

As I have received a good amount of rate and common cards today from those total 43 cards, I got enough of them and hence, I upgraded some of them to the next level. As you can see from the picture above, all but one common Gladius card of mine has already been upgraded to level 7 and only 1 more level for them to become level 8 and fully ready for up to gold league matches, but to make them max level it will take a while I think and may even take another year to upgrade them to max level organically.
