[ENG] [ESP] Tomándome un respiro | Taking a break 🎨🖍️

I haven't been very active on Hive lately because I'm finishing the last semester of my degree. It sounds exciting, and yes, it is, but it's also quite stressful. Between internships and, especially, the thesis, I've had very little time to do anything else. However, there have been days when I've taken time to simply rest and do things that make me feel calm, that allow me to relieve some of the stress, of course, art being my first choice.

One thing that satisfies me is simply the pleasure of drawing or creating something without worrying about it being perfect; I just focus on enjoying the process and the result. As you may have seen in my previous posts (although in a different community), this year I decided to keep a Bullet Journal, which has become an activity I've really enjoyed since it allows me to organize many things and capture many others in the most creative way I can think of that month, deciding on a theme and simply decorating everything.

Although we're already in May, as I said, I haven't had much time and I still haven't done this month's section. But I did have the April section, which I hadn't shared until now. I decided to do everything with a bee and hive theme (yes, pun intended to my beloved Hive), and I was really pleased with the result, mainly because of the color work.

I've also been using one of the gifts I received last December, Modeling Clay. I've loved molding things with this material since I was little, although I hadn't used any for years, until my sister-in-law gave me this gift. I honestly felt like a kid again just playing around making a couple of simple lil animals.

So I guess this post is not only to show off what I've made, but also as a reminder that no matter how busy you are, it's important to take at least a little time to rest and recharge energy by doing things that make us feel good.

No he estado muy activa en Hive ultimamente porque estoy terminando el último semestre de mi carrera. Suena emocionante y sí, lo es, pero también es bastante estresante. Entre pasantías y principalmente la tesis, lo cierto es que he tenido muy poco tiempo como para hacer otras cosas. Sin embargo, ha habido días donde me he tomado ratos para simplemente descansar y hacer cosas que me hagan sentir tranquila, que me permitan drenar un poco la carga, por supuesto siendo mi primera opción de siempre el arte.

Una cosa que me satisface es simplemente el placer de dibujar o crear algo sin preocuparme en que sea perfecto, solamente me enfoco en disfrutar el proceso y el resultado. Como quizás hayan visto en mis posts anteriores (aunque en otra comunidad), este año decidí llevar un Bullet Journal, lo cual se ha convertido en una actividad que me ha gustado bastante puesto que me permite organizar muchas cosas y plasmar otras tantas de la forma más creativa que se me ocurra ese mes, decidiendo una temática y simplemente decorando todo.

Aunque ya estamos en mayo pues lo dicho, no he tenido casi tiempo y aún no hago la sección de este mes. Pero sí tenía la sección de abril que no había compartido hasta ahora. Decidí hacer todo con temática de abejas y colmenas (sí, como un guiño evidente a mi querido Hive) y la verdad quedé muy satisfecha con el resultado, principalmente por el trabajo del color.

También he estado usando uno de los regalos que recibí el pasado diciembre, plastilinas. Desde pequeña me ha gustado moldear cosas con este material aunque tenía años que no usaba ninguna, hasta que mi cuñada me dió este regalo. La verdad me sentí como una niña de nuevo simplemente jugando a hacer un par de animalitos sencillos.

Así que supongo que este post es no solo para mostrar lo que he hecho, sino también como recordatorio de que no importa qué tan ocupado estes, es necesario tomarse aunque sea un rato para descansar y recobrar energías haciendo cosas que nos hacen sentir bien.
