que erigí ante el sol
para limpiar mis manos.
Nunca quise un Lince Rojo
por temor a la sangre
o a los marpacíficos
que podrían florecer de repente.
Nunca permití que un Lince ibérico
reclamara su plato de leche
desde la sombra de un muérdago cercano.
Hice un templo de zeolita
para mi gato barcino,
para mi obsesión de cuidar animales de papel.
Los pelos de mi gato eran palabras cromadas.

when it came to climbing onto the roof.

for fear of blood
or the Pacific oceans
that might suddenly bloom.

to claim its bowl of milk
