The rich will always want more

This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "The Rich Also Pay.

Initial Rationale for Higher Taxes for the Rich

The fact that the rich pay more taxes than anyone else seems to me to be initially quite fair.

Contributing to the support of the State by having a greater amount of property and assets seems to be something that is initially equitable.

It is logical to think that a person who has many properties, many companies and a greater income contributes more strongly to financing the different public services from which the entire society benefits.

It is a natural principle by which the person who has the greatest capacity to contribute must do their part and make their own efforts so that things go better and the services are better.

Let us also remember that not all people have the same economic income and not everyone can contribute in the same way to finance the different services of the State.

From my point of view this is something that seems quite fair.

At the same time, it promotes that all opportunities are equal for everyone.

Disadvantages of high taxes for the rich

Now the problem with the rich paying a higher amount of taxes is that this probably discourages their desire to work or invest in new projects because by charging taxes that are too high for them, obviously this is going to have a negative effect on the economy.

Someone who is a businessman and is charged too much tax to maintain the company will obviously not have the profits that he obtained before when he paid less taxes.

This can cause the person to stop investing and even stop working and obviously this is not good, nothing positive for the economic aspect.

In other words, the economy, production in a country and the rich would be discouraged because there would probably be a flight of capital.

People would invest their money in other tax countries where they pay less taxes, it is a quite logical measure.

Example of Japan and consequences of the concentration of wealth

A clear example of this is the case of Japan where loans were given at 0% interest and recently they have changed that, they began to charge an interest rate but they had a policy in which they even paid people for borrowing money.

Then of course a large number of people began to take advantage of that, requesting loans from Japan at 0% interest and with that money they obtained from loans they invested in other countries and other places.

The problem with this is that when wealth is concentrated only in one sector, they tend to have greater political influence in the country because they control or monopolize a sector, and this also means fewer opportunities for other people to progress or reach the level that they have.

Because especially the entrepreneurs who are starting and who want to progress by having these high levels of taxes find it difficult to advanc.

They do not have the capabilities because when trying to grow their businesses they will not be able to achieve it so this is a important obstacle.

Primary beneficiary and solution proposal

Seen in any way, my criticism of this is that in any way it is seen that the only one who benefits is the government.

The ideal solution for this would be to create policies that encourage economic activity and promote employment.

I think that charging a decent tax to those who have large fortunes and large properties should be something that is logical.

In this way I believe there would be equity and there would be equal opportunities for everyone and balance could be maintained.

I believe that an important part of the change that must be achieved in this sense lies in education, in making not only the rich but the population in general understand that collaboration between everyone is necessary to be able to have a better world, a more stable where people understand that by all collaborating for the same cause we will be able to live better.

Personal reflection and need for collaboration

And it sounds curious that I say this because as someone who is so independent that I cannot conceive the idea of having to participate in communities or be part of something.

Because I prefer to fend for myself, it is curious that I think this way.

But I am quite clear that it is necessary to put aside these ideologies and these things that are part of a lifestyle, that divides the principles that each person has, try to put them aside to make way for a common well-being for all.

Have a better quality of life and live in a place where we know that our public services are going to be working correctly, because everyone pays proportionally to the income they have, which would be very different if there were an equal tax rate for all people, because it would not cost the rich man any work to pay a tax rate that would be ridiculously small for him.

Because he has a way to do it, but on the other hand, the person who is a worker and who does not have a sufficient or powerful amount of money ,has a lot of influence on the distribution of wealth.

This is going to cost you a lot of work to be able to pay those taxes ,and you will probably have to overcome many problems, so this is an issue in which education must be paramount, people must be educated and I believe that in this way this issue could be solved.

I don't know the country you are but here in my country the rich benefit more from the government especially when they are into politics and all fingers aren't equal so I would say the rich should pay more because most of them are the ones collecting contract from the government.

Yes, the rich should pay more because they have a better ability to do so, I am in favor of that.

You said well.
Our understanding and knowledge on how complying to taxation would help the system run well, matters a lot... including the government too, let them know how to manage income from taxation

We must educate people, and governments, it is the beginning of a change for a better life. Let's hope that sooner rather than later, they manage to assimilate it.
