How I Mastered Life’s Tough Choices: A Guide to Rational Decision-Making

This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "Make A Decision".

Welcome my usual and esteemed readers to my blog.
Today the topic to discuss is to make a decision. This is an extremely interesting topic and I really love the proposal for this week.
And it is that all in our life we have to make decisions.
My life has been particularly complex and difficult, in which I have to make decisions that are vital for my survival, coming from many years of suffering from a dysfunctional family and being a single person in this world who has no relatives and in fact very few friends, I can say that I only have two friends or three friends at most, who may be able to help me or lend me their help from time to time, but the rest, and this has happened recently, that I have managed to have this friend who helps me, but the rest of my life I have spent alone and I have had to make decisions and solve problems alone, without having that guide or that help from a relative or a close person who really gave me that advice to make decisions.
So I had to grow up learning the laws of life on the street.
In fact, in the concrete jungle I learned to make decisions and I established what my process is to make decisions.
Part of all this influence in my decision-making had a lot to do with the experiences I lived and the work I did.
And later in this publication I will talk to you a little about it because it really is a very interesting experience.
I have reached this point in my life in which I am a free thinker and I have developed a lot the ability of critical thinking.
In publications of my colleagues here in this community, I mentioned that it is very important to have this condition of being rational and having a critical thinking because it is what helps us to make important decisions in our lives and to evolve as a race and human species to have a better world.
Having said this, I have briefly explained in this introduction that I find a little long, but as it is a topic that I am passionate about, I really enjoy talking to you about this.
I will answer the first question that you ask us.
What is your process of making decisions?
My process of making decisions is given by something that I learned while I was working on dianetics. Dianetics is the same kind of science as Ronald Hubbard, which is so committed and so attacked today.
I did not get into religion, but here in Venezuela they offered me work and at that time I was very young and I decided to get in there to work with them.
They taught me a process of making decisions that I have used since I learned it to make decisions in my life. This process involves taking objects.
In the case where I was learning with them, they sent me to take a course called Highs and Lows in Life.
They still have it.
It is a course that is super, super good, super, super interesting, which helps you handle the highs and lows in your life.
This is another topic that I am going to talk about another time.
In this course, they tell you to identify what are the problems or elements that you have in your life.
Let's put an example.
The problem I have is how to eat today or what I am going to eat today. I represent this problem with a wooden cube in a physical way.
They use the premise that problems should be taken in a physical way.On a physical representation.

I represent this with a cube of letters with which babies play and I put it.
This is the food and this is me and another cube represents me.
One is the food and the other is me.
The problem is how to get the food and I am saying this while I am talking in a graphic way.
I am visualizing the problem and this helps me to have a better understanding of the problem and to be able to make the decision.
Based on this, I begin to analyze what are the possible solutions that I have.
Here comes the second question that arises, the answer to the second question.
When you make decisions that feel major and can change your life, how do you face this?
I face this from the point of view of the previous answer.
With this process that I am explaining to you, once I find the solution, I visualize that the most correct solution is the one that I have proposed.
I simply try to put it in motion.
When an event is going to change my life, I immediately put it in motion.
To reach this conclusion, I analyze all the possible solutions that I can have in the previous question.
To make these decisions, the most optimal decision for me, according to what I was taught here in Scientology, is the decision that favors the greatest number of parts.
I think or evaluate in this decision-making, taking as an example the previous example of the food that I am going to eat today.
I take into account if what I am going to eat today serves me for my health, if what I am going to eat today satisfies my hunger, if what I am going to eat today is cheap, if what I am going to eat today is available and I have it at home, or if I have to go buy it.
I take all these factors into account and I come to the conclusion that what I am going to eat today is rice, because it is what I have at home, it is what is more economical, and it is what allows me to buy and eat my economy and my pocket, because I have it here at home.
In addition, it is the fastest, it is the fastest solution I can take.
So how do I face this? Well, I face it by telling myself that this is the best solution I have taken, and that it is the fastest and most effective and the one that benefits me the most, because it allows me to continue working, I do not need to leave the house and I do what I have to do, which is to make my publication and continue with my day-to-day work or activities.
This also leads me, and it is part of the answer to the following question.
What influences you to make that decision?
Well, I make that decision based precisely on what the moment needs and the solution that favors me, that favors me more and my whole environment.
So what I look for is the speed, the effectiveness, especially what I am currently looking for in terms of the solutions that arise to the conflicts in life, and the comfort that I will have to solve that problem.
Here we also move on to the next question.

Bing AI
What steps do you take to ensure the best possible scenario, regardless of how the decision works?
Well, as a critical thinker, I always evaluate the possible scenarios, taking into account that I am going to fail, possible scenarios even where I am going to fail, where I am not going to be successful.
For example, even if it seems ridiculous to you, I consider scenarios where I will not be able to eat here in my house because a natural disaster occurs, an earthquake, a tremor, the whole building falls and I do not have access to food.
So I know this seems ridiculous to you and you are going to laugh, but it is part of my decision-making process.
Also remember that I am an Asperger's patient and my thinking processes are a little different from the average person, but I think about this and I am prepared in this way also, in the best way, in case that scenario happens.
I try to think about all the possibilities when they are problems and issues that are major decisions in my life.
Do not think that I am that extremist who thinks in detail that he is going to die or that natural tragedies are going to happen in his life, but I do this only to show you an example and give you an example for this thinking process.
Normally, when they are difficult decisions in my life, I use this thinking process.
An example of this is with the monitor problem that I had recently, because I even raised the possibility of what to do if the seller who bought this monitor swindled me and did not bring me the monitor or brought me what was not.
And it happened, notice that by thinking that they were going to swindle me or that they were going to bring me a product that I did not want, this helped me to make the decision that I already knew the decision that I was going to make.
And it actually happened that they brought me a monitor for which I did not pay, they brought me a monitor with different characteristics, worse than the ones they had offered me and they swindled me in that sense.
And the decision that I made was to give a bad review to the seller and tell him that he did not know how to sell, etc.
But this was something that I had already thought about, I had already taken that possibility into account.
So all this is thanks to the critical thinking process and here the importance of the person being quite rational and having an important critical process.
So I want to highlight in summary the most important things to make decisions.
First, to be calm and relaxed.
Second, to make a list of possible solutions and possible situations in which one can find oneself at a loss and the possible decisions in each of these scenarios that one can take.
And third, to make the decision that favors the greatest number of people.
That this, as I said before, is one of the foundations of Scientology.
And in this way, they make the decision and it will surely be something that will serve them a lot in their life.
Personally, this process has served me a marvel of times and an infinite number of times in my life, making it very successful in my decision-making.
I hope you liked this publication, I have loved to talk to you about this today and that you have learned something new.
Until next time.

It's funny how we all have our own way of making decisions. In particular I make long term decisions, I don't think my method differs much from yours. But in the short term I rely on my intuition.
A big hug, @manclar.
Yeah, your pet when you rely on short term decisions 😀
🤣 Something similar!!
Well, it shows that 9 hours ago you had "flamenco mood", and now?.
This time travel is so singular 🤣
Now I come from Easter, I didn't take pictures because I did it yesterday and the day before yesterday. And, I will not deny that it is shocking for me to communicate with someone who lives in the past.
I ask you, what do you like more:
The current flamenco of your time or that of the past? :D
Always the transgenic, of course.
Si es que esto de los gif es de locos como te mola 😂
Comiendo flores 😂
