Eco-Anxiety Under Tropical Skies

This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "CLIMATE CHANGE".
"We are the first generation to feel the effect of climate change and the last generation who can do something about it."

Hello friends, welcome to my blog and today I will be talking about climate change. The truth is that this is a topic that is quite delicate.
In my experience with climate change has been quite unpleasant since I live in a tropical country like Venezuela.
Here we have all the seasons we can afford to have all the seasons, and when we suffer this type of climate change it affects us.
For example, in my case I live in an area that is known for being very cold in the state of Miranda. The temperatures are usually pleasant and very low, and with this climate change produced by the pollution of the environment, the people that throw away a lot of waste, and this produces toxic gas emissions and changes the environment and makes the temperatures rise.
So I have had not being able to sleep well at night due to the high temperature and what I am used to living in a climate that is pleasant, that is cold, where I can dress up and sleep comfortably in my bed.
When there are these hot nights, I start to sweat and as I am a person of great proportions, this causes me a lot of annoyance because it stains my sweat sheet and I stay all night sweating and worried. It is very uncomfortable.
Added to this, because we have the problem that at least in my case where I live, we have problems with the supply of water and the water because it is not supplied due to issues of rationing and issues.
This not only of rationing at the country level but of the building that has problems with the facilities and the machine that pumps the water.
Then we have a problem with that and there is a liquid rationing in addition to the rationing that we have due to the water crisis that exists in the country. We also have a rationing apart, making it more difficult for us to have water and we have the service only twice a week.
Then when there are these nights that are very hot, it is really very difficult to overcome it because you have to have large amounts of water stored in the house and due to the rationing we only have one hour for twice a week to be able to store all the water we can.
During that time, because it is not enough for us to store large amounts of water but only the basics to be able to, let's say, meet the needs of doing the bathroom towards the house and being able to bathe one and something that remains to be able to make the food, wash the food in the kitchen and cook.
But they do not remain for other cases as for these cases that I am naming in which it is very hot at night and one has to bathe. It is really difficult.
In my case, this has produced something that is known as eco-anxiety, which is anxiety due to these climate changes and it has affected me mentally because every time there are seasons in which it is too hot, I worry a lot.
Because as I have said, for being a person of great volume, I sweat more, my sweating is more intense and this brings a serious problem because all my clothes need to be washed and I need a greater amount of water to do it, and both the bedding and the clothes that I wear daily.
And this due to climate change because it is a great inconvenience not having enough water to be able to do things as basic as this. Climate change in general has a very strong impact in the world.
In addition to these waves of intense heat, the changing seasons to places where the summer was soft, now with this climate change it becomes very intense and dangerous. Winters are shorter in many areas and the ecosystems and traditional activities and the life of the people in those places occur in very extreme events such as floods, droughts, fires.
That is, those mega droughts that have occurred in countries such as the west of the United States that entire forests are burned due to drought, ecosystems are altered with massive whitening of the corals in the sea, glaciers melt as in the Andes or in the Alps.
There is a lot of bird migration and change, migration changes and the plants desynchronize and all the food chains change. So there are also many species that invade places where they did not live because the ecosystem changes.
There is a lot of loss in agriculture due to floods or droughts, the roads crack a lot due to the heat, diseases also increase and many people die from the heat. Then there are many things.
There is also migratory displacement that millions of people move from one place to another every year precisely because of these climatic disasters due to the rise of the sea due to the great droughts and the site becomes uninhabitable. Then people have to move to another place.
I do not think we have to take a lot of awareness in terms of climate change today and I think we are still in time to create awareness and educate people to take care of the planet and that it does not pollute.
Especially we are still in time to recover the planet, but we have to take an urgent action.
Not yet the situation is not irreversible, but we must reduce carbon emissions. We must have a resilient agriculture and the early warning system is very important to solve or minimize what is already happening.
