Today's topic is about Christmas celebrations, and this week we have Christmas. Well, specifically here we celebrate on December 24th, which is tomorrow, Tuesday.

Particularly in recent years, I haven't been able to celebrate Christmas because my financial crisis has greatly affected my budget.

This celebration traditionally requires purchasing foods that are typical here in the country, such as hallacas and pan de jamón, and maybe a drink like wine or beer.

Unfortunately, I haven't had the financial capacity to cover those expenses in recent years.

Sadly, I was left wanting last year to be able to enjoy one of these delicacies, but this year, thanks to my good friend @enraizar who made a donation of 120 Hive, I will be able to enjoy having a "pan de jamón" on my table and enjoying some hallacas, which is a typical dish here in Venezuela.

It's like a dough made of corn flour seasoned with chicken broth and filled with pork, beef, and also chicken. To this, olives, onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers are added.

It's something very tasty, seasoned and has a very special flavor. All of this is wrapped in a plantain leaf tied with a string.

So this stew is prepared in advance and then the dough mixture is placed on the plantain leaf, and the stew is placed on top. Then the plantain leaf is closed in a special way and wrapped with a string, and it is boiled, and then it is eaten hot.

This is generally accompanied by pan de jamón and chicken salad, and as a drink, juice, beer, or wine is usually taken.

In my case, I can only afford the "pan de jamón" and the "hallacas", so only with that, I will be able to enjoy it humbly as I like to do.

My relatives are no longer with me, they no longer accompany me, they are in another non-physical plane, and what I usually do to celebrate Christmas is to sit in front of the computer and see how in other places in the world, such as Madison Square Garden or Japan, they celebrate Christmas.

In public places where they light up the Christmas lights, the tree, they put Santa Claus and all that, I enjoy it a lot.

So this way I see and learn how Christmas is celebrated in Russia, London, Spain, and different places.

Hallaca and pan de jamón

The joy and Christmas atmosphere in the streets is something I enjoy a lot, and this time I will do it while enjoying pan de jamón and with my hallaca quietly here in the comfort of my home, and maybe greeting one or two friends.

Then, I will probably have the option of going to Twitch and watching any streamer and spending Christmas with the streamer chatting in their chat, and in this way, I entertain myself.

Similarly, I usually do the same for New Year's, quietly here at home.

In previous years, I did it differently, I spent it in the street with people I thought were "friends", but in reality, they were just people with whom I drank alcohol, that kind of temporary friends.

So this is how I usually spend my Christmases and have this small personal celebration here at home.
