A Hard Truth in the Mirror of Life: The Color Game of Chameleons and Humans

Friends, how are you all? I hope you are well wherever you are. Life is actually a huge school, isn't it? Every day we learn something new, and see life anew. Sometimes with laughter, sometimes with a pause. Today I have come to talk to you about a very deep thought in my mind, which has been swirling in my mind for a long time. A small saying, but its meaning highlights a very big aspect of life: "Chameleons change color for self-defense, and humans change color to protect their interests."

When I first heard this saying, I thought, aha! What a great saying! There are so many similarities and so many differences between nature and humans? These two animals change color, but their purposes are completely different. Whenever I look around, see people, see relationships, I understand the depth of this saying more and more. Let's take a closer look at the words inside this saying today.

First, let's talk about chameleons. We all know chameleons. When they want to protect themselves from their enemies, or when they go to catch prey, they blend their body color with the surrounding environment. This ability has been given to them by nature for survival. It is a simple survival strategy, a natural need. There is no greed, no complexity, just a simple urge to protect themselves. Whenever they are in danger, they change their color so that no one can recognize them, no one can harm them. This is their self-defense. There is no deception, no hypocrisy.

But when we humans change color? Do we always do it to save ourselves? The question is actually complicated, and the answer to it is not simple. I think that in most cases, people change color for their own benefit and to protect their own interests. The one who is your best friend today, tomorrow you will see that he has become your biggest enemy if any of his interests are hurt. The one who is pulling you to his chest today, tomorrow you will see that he is stabbing you in the back if it benefits him. This is really very sad, but this is the reality.

We all know that humans are social animals. We live depending on each other. Relationships are the foundation of our lives. But when these relationships are overshadowed by self-interest, everything becomes a bit blurry. We trust people, reveal our weaknesses to them, because we consider them friends or relatives. But when that person changes his true colors for his own slight advantage, to strengthen his position, or to move ahead by leaving others behind, then the heart breaks. This hurt is so deep that I am afraid to trust anyone again. It seems that someone will come out with his mask again!

I have had such experiences in my own life. I have seen people who were once very close to me and whom I trusted blindly. I may have done a lot for them and stood by them in their danger. But whenever I got something good or their interests were slightly hurt, I saw their true face. Their language, their behavior, the look in their eyes – everything seemed to change. Then it seemed, this person was not like this! But in fact, he may have been like this from the beginning, just hiding his true colors for so long for his own interests.

These experiences make our lives difficult, but at the same time they also teach us some important lessons. We learn how important it is to learn to recognize people. We learn that people's true colors can be understood not by their words, but by their actions and behavior. Those who are true friends will be happy when you are good, will be there for you in bad times, and will not expect any benefits from you. They do not need to change their colors, because they are always the same.

And those who are selfish, they change colors like chameleons, but the reason for changing their colors is different from chameleons. They do not want to save their own lives, but rather use the lives of others to make their lives more comfortable. For them, relationships are a ladder, which they can climb up.

Sometimes, seeing all this, my heart becomes sad. I wonder if all people in the world are like this? But no, there are still good people and true friends in the world. Finding them is the biggest challenge in life. Let these bad experiences not harden our minds so much that we make mistakes in recognizing good people.

On this journey of life, we will see people of different colors. Some people will come as flowers, making life colorful. Some people may prick us like thorns and cause pain. But these thorns may teach us how to walk carefully, how to protect ourselves. Chameleons change color for self-defense, and humans for their own interests. Let this quote remind us of a hard truth in life every day. Let us learn self-defense techniques from chameleons, but learn the mantra of selflessness from humans.

I hope you like these thoughts of mine. I am very happy to share this realization of mine with you.

Everyone stay well, stay healthy, and enjoy every moment of life. Thank you all.
