Alguien recuerda sobre qué iba la historia original de Lilo & Stitch? La vida de este simpático extraterrestre que llegó a Hawai, para hacer de las suyas, pero que terminó ganándose el cariño de Lilo, quien decidió hacerlo su mascota, ha vuelto en una segunda entrega.

Por lo general, siempre se escucha decir que las segundas partes no son buenas, pero en esta ocasión, la nueva película de Stitch ha sido tan bien recibida que se nota por la gran cantidad de merch que puedes encontrar en casi todas las tiendas de la ciudad.

Peluches de todos los tamaños, incluyendo al Stitch rosado llamado "Ángel", que aunque no sale en la película, pasó a ser también objeto de culto por parte de los fanáticos de esta historia.

Lámparas, monederos, fundas para celulares, y hasta auriculares con la figura del monstruito celeste, son exhibidas para la venta no solo en jugueterías, sino también en tiendas de otros ramos comerciales.

De hecho, para mi sorpresa, encontré un gran muñeco de Stitch junto a Lilo en un café de la ciudad, al que pude fotografiar solo de lejos, pues habían personas sentadas justo al lado y me dio vergüenza decirles que se quitaran solo para que yo pudiera tomar una foto.

Y justo en ese mismo lugar, también habían a la venta varias pochocleras (o envases para colocar las cotufas) con motivo de Stitch, en diferentes tamaños y modelos, aunque la verdad lo vería como algo más de colección, pues no soy de comer cotufas con frecuencia, y viéndolo bien, sería como agarrar la comida de la boca de otro ser, que si lo llevamos al plano racional, parece un poco asqueroso, jaja.

Y es que hasta los mozos estaban vestidos con trajes de Stitch, una especie de pijama enterizo, que los hacía ver como una manada que se movía al sonido de los pedidos que salían o las cuentas solicitadas para pagar.

Lo cierto es que al haber tal cantidad de Merch, quien no ha visto la nueva película - como es mi caso - termina con gran curiosidad por ir al cine. Una estrategia a la inversa que ha resultado genial a mi parecer.

Lamps, purses, cell phone cases, and even headphones with the figure of the little blue monster, are displayed for sale not only in toy stores, but also in stores of other commercial branches.

In fact, to my surprise, I found a large Stitch doll next to Lilo in a cafe in the city, which I could only photograph from a distance, because there were people sitting right next to it and I was embarrassed to tell them to get out of the way just so I could take a picture.

And right in that same place, there were also for sale several pochocleras (or containers to place the cotufas) with Stitch motif, in different sizes and models, although the truth is that I would see it as something more of a collection, because I do not eat cotufas often, and looking at it, it would be like grabbing food from the mouth of another being, which if we take it to the rational plane, it seems a little disgusting, haha.

Even the waiters were dressed in Stitch suits, a kind of one-piece pajamas, which made them look like a herd that moved to the sound of the orders coming out or the bills requested to be paid.

The truth is that since there are so many Merch, those who have not seen the new movie - as is my case - end up with great curiosity to go to the movies. A reverse strategy that has turned out great in my opinion.
